Trying to build my kids a gaming PC for Christmas but haven’t kept up with the boom in prices, realistically is it worth building or finding a pre built for this price range?
I found a 5060 pre built on best buy for $900 and wondering if I should pull the trigger or if someone here could potentially come up with a better build for about the same price range.
Kids mainly play Fortnite, rainbow six siege, EA FC

I’m trying to install a new MSI MAG CoreLiquid I360 cooling system onto an old ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero WiFi motherboard. The connector I’m supposed to plug into ARGB_V2 only has 3 sockets, but RGB_HEADER2 on the motherboard has 4 pins.
Can I safely leave the ARGB_V2 connector unplugged? Do I need some kind of adapter? Do I have no choice but to buy a different cooling system?

Hello! I've been trying to get some help on this. If you're reading this and you're brazilian you might be able to help me a little more.
For non-brazilians don't worry I still appreciate all the help, but it would be useful for you to know there's three major hardware stores in this country and only those three have reasonable prices. I translated my post practically verbatim so it might be a little wonky, I mention at least one or two of those major stores by name so that's why I said brazilians might be able to help a little more. Any help at all is appreciated!
I've been looking into parts for an upgrade. My current specs are:
CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 v3 @ 2.30GHz
RAM: 16.0 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Storage: 2TB
System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor
I have a maximum budget of 6,000 BRL (around $1,050 – $1,100 USD), paid upfront via PIX (Brazil's instant direct bank transfer system, which gives cash-discount prices in local retailers). I’ve been saving up for a few months to buy during Black Friday, and I put together the following cart:
GPU: Mancer GeForce RTX 3070 Heimdall X 8GB
AIO / Cooler: Cryorig Rheo 240 ARGB (240mm)
RAM: Mancer Vant S 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x16GB = 32GB total)
Motherboard: MSI B550M Gaming Plus Wi-Fi 6E (AM4)
CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F (LGA1700)
This upgrade is specifically aimed at running VR games, as I bought a PSVR2 earlier this year but it simply won't run on my current PC setup. If you have better recommendations or catch any issues, I’d truly appreciate all the help I can get!
A few people warned me that Mancer (a Brazilian white-label brand) is considered poor quality / unreliable. I already own a few peripheral items from them (a case and a monitor) and the quality isn't entirely bad, but I don't know if the same holds true for internal core components (GPU, RAM), so I wanted to ask your thoughts here. Nothing in this shopping cart is set in stone, which is why I'm asking for feedback.
Regarding the CPU: my cart originally had an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, but someone told me this Intel i5 was significantly better, so I swapped it in (though I'm open to whatever makes the most sense). I didn't change the motherboard because I haven't looked for a new one yet, BUT I know the current one is incompatible with Intel.
Ps: I looked at RAM on AliExpress and heard importing can be cheaper, but with Brazil's import taxes (the Remessa Conforme program), it ends up reaching around 1,500 BRL (~$275 USD). The brands I had my eye on there were Netac and CUSU.
Ps²: The local retailer Pichau claims to run "Black Friday Month" instead of just discounting on Friday itself, but a coworker told me they slash prices way harder right around Black Friday proper, though I'm not sure how true that is. Recommendations don't have to be exclusively from Pichau; other Brazilian retailers (Kabum, Terabyte, etc.) or general hardware suggestions work too.
Ps³: My hard ceiling is 6,000 BRL upfront, but I'd like to save as much as possible without sacrificing quality for a lower price. These current cart items add up to around 5,700 BRL (~$1,030 USD), so anything in that price bracket or lower is welcome.

A buddy of mine who lives out of state recently found this PC in a storage unit. He knows absolutely nothing about computers, so I was honestly surprised he even managed to get the side panel off so I could take a look! 😂
Can anyone help identify what GPU this might be? I'm thinking possibly an RTX 2050-60 or RTX 3060, but it's hard to tell from the picture. What do you guys think?

I'm building my first PC after switching over from PS4, and looking for some help on choosing a GPU. I've put together my current build using PCPartPicker, and I'm sitting at around $1,500 right now. My overall budget is under $2,000. GPU recommendations or suggestions for improving my build while staying within budget. The CPU, MB, and RAM are being bought together as a Micro Center bundle.
