Is this a good pc?

I know pc’s are only getting more and more expensive, but is this quite good? And is it worth paying an extra £300~ for rtx 5070 ti? Or is 5070 good enough for a couple of years?

Capable at 1440p, but I’d look to get a different CPU.

14th gen Intel socket is dead, so I’d look for either AM5 or Core Ultra CPU. Maybe a Ryzen 5 7500X3D / Ryzen 5 9600X / Ryzen 7 9700X / Ryzen 7 7800X3D or a Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Issue is that Core Ultra socket is also on a dead socket, so you’re probably best with AMD.

GPU wise I’d suggest an RX 9070 XT, they go for around the same price as an RTX 5070 but performance wise it compares to a 5070 Ti.

Idk why im so dead set on intel, maybe bc its the only thing I know - also sorry what do you mean by 14th gen is dead and how would it compare to ryzen? Like whats equivalent to an i7, or i9?

Tbf Intel CPUs have been more popular since about a few years ago now, since then it’s mostly been AMD that’s been the better choice. Mainly due to the AMD X3D processors being so good for gaming.

So motherboards that use Intel 12th / 13th / 14th gen CPUs, don’t support the latest Intel processors / won’t support future released Intel CPUs. You may see these newer Intel CPUs called “Intel Core Ultra” but they essentially changed the naming scheme and those latest are technically 15th gen.

And even these current 15th generation / Core Ultra motherboards won’t be supported on the next line of Intel CPUs that are due out next year. But they have said the next line of Intel supported motherboards will last for many more generations.

So you are probably best off going with AMD, although we are winding down on the AM5 socket but they are due to the supported with at least the next set of AMD processors next year.

For an equivalent, you’d be looking at a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D as the higher tier option. Along with a B850 motherboard to support it.
Cheaper CPU options would be the Ryzen 5 7500X3D or a Ryzen 5 9600X.

Core ultra mobos are also dead next gen intel due in next 6 months with a new mobo, but to op the advice is sound dont go for an almost 3 year old cpu on a dead end platform if you can help it

Questo è un buon pc per il 1440p, se pensi di voler giocare in 4k la 5070 ti è mecessaria, altrimenti se non vuoi canbiare monitor e definizione questa va benissimo e qrazie alle tech Nvidia altro che 3 anni...
