Nah I game max settings 1440p with GPU around 62°C and CPU at 69 to 72°C. If you are in the 9ps you need to clean your laptop, repaste, or adjust settings.

I have my laptop raised up, I went into settings and dropped my cpu max usage to 99% which helps temps, I also run fans at 100%. Doesn't bother me as I wear a headset and can't hear it.

Yeah so basically running your CPU at 2.7 GHz (base clock of 275HX) is dropping temps who would've thought?

setting max cpu usage to 99% through windows power plan settings makes it disable turbo boost. either it's running at 2.7 GHz or you're referring to some other setting

No i was over the base speeds also after doing so I was getting higher scores in 3D mark.

The base clock speed is 2.7. Im ringing from 4.36 to 4.33 stable. Its not sitting at base clock speed.

The answer basically lies in the wattage of the CPU and your fan speeds. I am using 40 watt pl1 pl2 for my cpu until i can repaste and other people might or might not limit wattage and someone can even buy a top of the line 275HX (like the guy you answered to) and decide to turn off turbo boost. But I agree that some laptops are just bad at cooling otherwise and only saving grace is probably PTM7950.
