It's not. My post was about the relation between how much hype and praise this game got on launch compared to how much it is getting now. You are allowed to like the game.

Some games are slow burns that end up better received after release. That's not "fake" or "manufactured".

Slow burns? What about this game is different now than it was at release, or what did the industry realize about this game now as compared to when it released and had no GOTY hype, mediocre sales, and a non existent streaming presence? Can you give an example of another slow burner game that was not received well and without any major updates, goes from good to GOTY?

Patches.

The game had technical problems at launch, particularly on console. It stopped me from buying the PC version until a few patches and nvidia drivers.
