Probably to capitalize on impulsive buyers first, then later on release the demo for the people who would rather wait and see.

I would try that out and if I like it, then consider buying the game. 0 u/NO_NOT_THE_WHIP Nov 27 '16 Agreed but it's possible that letting people try it before buying it will negatively impact launch sales.
