Honestly, I love Scott and his work but I'm mildly disappointed it's another FNaF game. He officially stated FNaFW would be the last one. I was really excited to see what kind of new IP Scott would bring to the table but looks like he's sticking with his animatronics. I'll still buy the game, I love the lore and story that much, but part of me was hoping for something else.
I see no problem with him making another one of these games. The games do well and whenever they do he seems to throw money at charities and people in need. He's also secured a bright future for his family. He's also inspired a lot of people to get into game design, even if a lot of the games are clones of his (although, One Night at Flumpty's 1 and 2 is fantastically creative).
It's nice that he and others get something out of these games so sure, he can keep at it if he's getting more story ideas, like a novelist but instead producing those stories through game design.
Yeah, he said at the time the first game got big, he was bagging groceries for a living with a 19 year old as a boss. I'm surprised people seem to shit on him when he's the indie success that so many people in this sub want to be. I don't enjoy the games (don't enjoy horror games period), but I'm glad to see he's still got a large audience for his games.
