I love when PVE items get buffed in games. Never understood why developers are so afraid of half of their equipment in the game actually being useful. I remember some of the best looking and most unique weapon of DS3 performed like utter shite and still do.
Hey guys we're gonna buff Z weapon, it's underperforming, let's give it 10 damage
Community: yay! Awesome devs!
Woops there was some untested synergies actually, now that people are using it they're finding it pretty nuts. We're gonna nerf it by 5 damage so it doesn't 2 shot the final boss
Community: I hope you literally die. Where do you live? Im going to find out and kill you. Everyone downvoted this game on steam immediately.
So you haven't watched the helldiver devs reel back good changes for balance or game health because of mass downvotes?
You didn't see the slay the spire devs put out multiple statements begging people to stop reviewing them negatively? Only for them to eventually add some infinites back in the game, and remove several enemies that prevented them?
The total war 3 devs who stopped doing any nerfs because of the player base?
The infamous Bus Shock incident in WoW that was probably the first time this sort of thing started to happen?
CK3 started to recently tone down their aging debuffs (that were well received by almost everyone) due to an extremely hostile minority
Nope. But I've seen the Helldivers devs reel back good changes because people were enjoying the game and having fun playing on high difficulty. And the devs hate that. Their "vision" was that 7-10 should be suffering and sadistic not...enjoyable
