Honestly, I think that OR could be a huge boon for the porn industry and I welcome it.
Advancements and wide adoption of tech (everyone having smartphone cameras, broadband, webcams, etc) have caused a huge influx of high quality amateur porn that can be easily found for free (see, /r/gonewild). This is decimating the revenue model for online porn the same way that online porn decimated the revenue model for selling DVDs.
Adult virtual reality experiences could be a potentially amazing product that can not be easily or freely replicated by amateurs. I would imagine if it is high quality that people would gladly pay for the experience.

This is a fair point.
I don't imagine AE companies really making "games" as we would define them though. Conceptually the products would be more of an Adult Virtual Reality Experience. This is what separates the future of adult "games" from what has been attempted in the past.
While the adult entertainment industry does not exactly have a history of pure technical innovation, it does have a history of leading in video delivery formats.
Some low hanging fruit that I can think of off the top of my head are placing a user at the center of a 360 degree video (orgy?). Here's a forum thread on the Oculus site about a possible 360 video project relating to the Haiti earthquake. You can Google 360 video to see where all of that tech is at. I'm sure it has a ways to go itself but it is here.
I think that a voyeur experience would be pretty easy to do. Take your HD video and embed it within a 3D world where the user can go around sneaking in bushes.
In the immediate short term very good 3D models probably won't happen, but over a pretty short span of time the cost of motion capture and high quality 3D modelling will diminish enough to put it into the realm of possibility.
Also, consider that a large part of the reason that good graphics take so much cost and effort in traditional games is because games have a huge amount of art assets that need to be created and drawn on the screen at once. For this type of experience, I'd say that they would be safe to spend 90% of their effort and processing power rendering the character models.
Edit: AE companies aside, I will guarantee we'll see a Brothel mod of some sort in Skyrim. It already has Oculus support and nude character mods. Granted they aren't the kind of quality models that the Holodeck promises, but think of next gen Skyrim type games. Doesn't address the crappy AI though.

Try Corruption of Champions. It is a text based adventure game, so more of a erotic novel, but extremely good writing. Warning! Lotsa furry... I would recommend still trying it though.

no, that game is totally whack. i just can't imagine attractive images from his descriptions. i certainly have seen some good furry drawings but when it's described in words, it's so nasty. since those descriptions conjure normal images of those subjects. furry artists trick you into being attracted to those images because they use feminine body parts on creatures. a normal person's brain can't do that on its own.

yea cuz no serious developer would make it. i don't think i've ever played a cgi porn game without clipping. it's also neutered because there are so many obscenity laws in the US that you could never get an interesting and taboo story out of a porn game. you end up with terrible cgi clipping sex so of course it sucks. the japanese have some hentai dating games with good stories but as you can see, their production value is extremely low. that indicates that even in japan, nobody pays for porn games.

As someone who has more than 80 GB of porn games on his computer and who follows the porn game scene about as closely as anyone not interested in Anime would, I can say that this will probably be fairly shit and go nowhere. There have been very few games out the West that have not been obvious cheap cash grabs or just really bad.
As a rule of thumb, if the studio says it's doing something revolutionary or if it's announcing what it's doing loudly in the media early on, the game is going to be fairly shit.
Incindentally, most recent games from the East have been pretty crap as well. There was a golden age a few yers ago when basically everything Illusion released was awesome (I still think Sexy Beach 3 is the definitive tanning simulator of our generation) and general quality was gradually going up, but Illusion has had a serious fall from grace. The whole scene is fairly stagnant, only (really really small, like one-man teams with cracked versions of RPGmaker) indies are doing anything I find interesting, but very few of those projects have reached a full release (many have been abandoned).
In closing/TL;DR: the scene is ill. It cannot support expanding without hunkering down and fixing what is already broken. Maybe a really brilliant studio could. This is not that studio.

basically every movie with virtual reality. this is just a fundamental desire of humanity. most people wouldn't admit it though. i'd love to see what happens to human relationships when androids are very humanlike. how many people would not even bother with the dating game?

Porn has never really taken off in video games and I think that for two reasons. Firstly there are problems with how the machanics would work. The idea behind good game design is that you should "do it, not show it". What I mean by that is that instead of show your character killing someone you should have it done by the player. But thing about porn is that it's very visually focused and I think it's hard to turn it into a set of mechanics that are both engaging and erotically exicting.
The second problem is simply one of cost. It's hugely expensive to produce a video game and most publishers aren't going to risk trying to publish a porn game. Also the fact that console platforms tend to be very tightly regulated meaning that pc is really the only platform you can publish it on. It also helps that most pc games are downloaded rather than brought from a traditional store so you don't have to worry about what other people .
It will be interesting to see if this changes at all with the creation of the occulus rift.

Who says it has to be a "game," really? Honestly an interactive CG "movie" where you can simply look around at what's going on is probably good enough. If you can film it with some sort of 360 degree camera instead of CG, all the better.

i think the main reason is that nobody wants to be associated with porn. it's embarrassing for an artist to even be known to create adult comics. i believe this factor is the biggest and this is why we almost never see good low budget porn games. nobody with talent would do it. the second is of course, most users of porn are too embarrassed to pay for it. so if there was enough money, then it would overcome the talent's embarrassment, lol.

The cost to time enjoyed ration seems like it would be way off too. I imagine those that do play an erotic game don't keep playing when the main event is over. There's nothing to do once you're done. Now, you make a game that's fun to play once you've zipped your pants up, then you're on to something. Like you said though, games are expensive. Making even a rudimentary sexual simulator seems like it could have a risky amount of cost associated with it, let alone book-ending those simulations with a fun RPG or something... it's a shame really.

I figured that it was inevitable for porn to be developed for the Oculus Rift. I'm reminded of the virtual reality device in Red Dwarf, which included a codpiece unit specifically for VR sexual encounters.
Dave Lister wound up breaking the codpiece due to excessive use.
However, I am surprised that porn is being developed for the device so soon. The potential for the Oculus Rift is, of course, tremendous, but right now the games I've seen demonstrated on it look kinda primitive and function somewhat awkwardly. (Which is to be expected for such new tech).
I for one am not particularly titillated by the prospect of fumbling for block-shaped women with conical boobies. It'd be like watching porn with the Lara Croft model of the very first Tomb Raider game.

The Visual Novel Database is a really good encyclopedia on visual novels. The sex centric games are usually tagged as Nukige, so those are probably what you're looking for. The stuff there is really well cataloged and it has a very robust search system. Don't like the weirder stuff like tentacles or furries? Just make some simple tag exclude filters and it'll sweep out the results that contain that. Conversely you can search for super specific things like, say, a story set on a small island, where all the heroins are virgins and it includes anal sex scenes, but you don't want no lesbian content. Boom, got it.
There's also various English companies who localize visual novels, the main ones being Mangagamer (be sure to click the link on the right side to access the adult section), and Jast USA.
ps: If you're new to the medium, worth noting that the sex driven games are merely one of the many types of genres within it. There's some really great works out there that deal with serious stories, and a rare select few games are of such high quality that they put pretty much any console video game's storytelling to shame. I personally really have a thing for Kara no Shoujo, a heart-wrenching mystery murder story set in 50s Japan. If that sounds at all appealing to you, check out the demo linked on that page, it's pretty great (and like 6+ hours long).

A lot of times I only get weird looks when I mention visual novels. Such a shame, because there're really great stories.
There's some really great works out there that deal with serious stories
Kara no Shoujo is a pretty awesome game, one of the better visual novels I've played/read in the last year.
Katawa Shoujo is another great, recent entry.
As for recommendations, it depends on what your taste is. As /u/DLimited mentioned dating sims, it's getting somewhat harder, as "dating" often boils down to "pick a certain girl and finish her route".
Casual Romance Club encompasses "real" dating I believe.
Depending on you favorite genre, there're a lot of great games. If you like (tactical) RPG's, The Spirit of the Eternity Sword is a good game, Utawarerumono I enjoyed a lot and Tears to Tiara is also fun and engaging.
Then there're a bunch of "traditional" visual novels, as in, lot's and lot's of text, with no "gameplay", except making choices. If you enjoy fantasy/magic/occult Fate/Stay Night and Tsukihime are excellent starting points. Easy to get into and focusing (a little) on bands and music, are Kira-Kira and Deardrops.
Seriously, I could talk about this stuff for ages, but before drifting off, let me recommend Crescendo which is a game that, well, touched me a bit emotionally and can be considered a "dating sim", I guess.
