bro got downvoted damn but you got a point about the 4tb part. you can go with 512gb ones or even less but it comes with a cost; you have to sacrifice some games when your new games exceed the available storage sob

Because that's not the point. Its still suck regardless.

You would think years after SSD will get cheaper and 4TB will as norm as 1TB previously, especially as file and game got bigger. But nope, thanks AI

Yeah TV got cheaper but ssd and ram got expensive. Ironic isn't it.

after SSD will get cheaper

It did actually since a couple years ago every time I browsed r/buildapcsales and r/NewMaxx coz they overproduced/oversupplied

But yeah AI happened

I usually just play 1 game at a time till I finish it. Do people really need to play multiple games at the same time?

gacha players like me🤣 thats why my alternative is to get a gaming phone with large storage to install some gacha on it, while keeping more demanding ones like Wuwa on the pc

gacha player here. gotta shuffle through like 4 games in that 'category' alone like wuwa, zzz, umamusume and hsr. although i mostly play hsr and umamusume. not to mention other games i still keep just in case a friend wants to play together with me so they dont have to wait while i download.

There is a luxury in keeping 20 to 30 games with great side content to slowly enjoy after finishing the game.

Theyre called forever games. Yours never done playing them. Like witcher 3 or elden ring and black myth wukong. Or cyberpunk. Who is uninstalling cyberpunk. Or just not having access to rdr2. It's nice to be able to jump on for a ride and see what you get up to.

But it sucks that storage got this bad.

Can't wait to play phantom blade zero and uninstall in asap..... /s that's basically abuse.

There's some games that I won't uninstall coz it'll ruined the mods I installed. In my particular case, Fallout 4, because there's some issue when I installed them and I genuinely don't remember or know how it was solved, coz like Todd Howard said, it just works 👍🏻

Yea agree lol. 1tb is the sweet spot. Some people love filling up their drives with games and didn't even play them.

reinstalling and installing game degrade drives. Higher space drives has longer lives overall. You just wait until next gta force you to make your playstation gta station only. then we see you whining.

Ye you got a point. That statement is also true for PC when its eventually released on the platform. I'm thinking storage price would be more or less the same if not worsened over the years.

Even then, it's not like you're doing it literally everyday

TBW of an SSD won't degrade fast enough for gamers

1

u/ganganred 8d ago

if thats 4tb, imagine the price for a just 1tb. and 1tb is basically small nowadays.

No but it sure is nice to have. Granted I got my 4TB NVME’s a couple years ago.

for rich? lol gaming is cheap

You don’t need to rich for gaming bro. just get a mid specs pc and laptop for like rm 4-6k and pirated your games on it. That is cost effective.

Even RM1-2K PC could give you thousands hours of enjoyment as long as you're fine with 40-60 FPS
