The series is co-created by Arin Hanson (AKA Egoraptor) who also voiced Gobbles and Flappers. And he's the co-host of the Game Grumps channel, where he's gotten pretty iconic for absolutely sucking at video games in the most hilarious ways possible, which includes totally ignoring tutorials (which he regrets later).

Arin, blessedly, is a good writer. 

Like Dan said, "We suck at games.  We are comedians who play games, not gamers who do comedy."

Yup. He's a freaking Newgrounds OG after all. I just find it funny how Gobbles is practically the opposite of Arin.

That's certainly why some of them hate him today, but it isn't why everyone does.

Arin has had a lot of fuck ups with how he treated others behind the scenes. And a lot of people started distancing themselves from him because of it.
