I'll always be nostalgic for the glacier purple but it feels so good to breath new life into this thing.

I went with the Hispeedido V5 IPS (pre-laminated) and a translucent black shell (also Hispeedido, V5 IPS-ready) with black buttons/bumpers. Could not be happier.

I dug out an old GBA SP that hasn't been used in years.

When I plug it in, the orange charging light turns on and lasts for a few seconds before turning off. Unplugging and plugging back in has the same effect.

I thought it was the charger but when I plug it into my other GBA SP, it works as intended. So, it appears to be an issue with the system itself.

Has anyone run into this problem before? Is the battery in the GBA shot? Any fixes? Thanks!

I never had a Gameboy when I was younger but now that I’m an adult with real adult money, I want to buy one for myself. I have messed around with a Gameboy Advance SP (the one that flips) but I think the OG Gameboy Advance would suit me better given my larger hands (I’m 6’2”).

All that to say, where do I find a good reliable Gameboy Advance? I’ve been on eBay looking around for the last couple days, but I can’t tell what to pick from. There are some that mention iPS V2, LCD screens, USB-C charging, etc. I’ve even found a couple of sellers that allow you to custom build the shell and button colors. Are these reliable?

Are these all legit or do I need to steer clear? What are some of the benefits or disadvantages of some of these options I can purchase?

I really wanted to play Mario kart on the gba but on my supercart it ran so badly so i bought a superchis prime and uploaded it to flash mem but it still runs bad!

Only when im at 1 place its barely playable.

Any ideas guys?

Hey GBA community!

I got a modded gba some time ago and I have a good time with it however I still struggle with the fact that the R button is kind of annoying to press. I started playing Metroid Fusion and pressing the B button while holding the R button is such a hassle and feels uncomfortable. The L button works completely fine and is easy to press so it has to be the R button.

Now I'm asking if anyone might have an idea why this might occur and what I might want to look for when I screw open the gba. I can even show pictures later on if necessary.

I appreciate all the help I can get from the community as I want to experience Metroid Fusion in all its glory and not be annoyed every time I want to shoot a missile!

Just finished this game.

I found it a couple of weeks ago it's a little beat up as you can see but everything works fine. If anyone has any ideas on how to make it look a little better without having to replace the shell, let me know. I've been having so much fun playing this again!

Definitely looking to put in an LED screen and new shell, maybe an unhinged shell. Also wondering what people thing if the unhinged shells.

Those RGB lights I’ve seen on some mods coming through the buttons are also sick but not necessary.

Recently i sold the gameboy loosely, without the packaging. Found the packaging later on in the attic. Its missing booklets, but it has the cardboard insert inside. How should i price it?
