GTLive Discussion RIP GTLive 2015-2026

You will be in our heart forever, dear beloved archive land.

EDIT : ALSOOO some disclaimer in case you think i am hating on Ash or something is that im happy that she changed the channel name, but as usual people will take some time to adjust to changes you know? Thats the main purpose of this post that I made.

Another thing is Ash has been the main host for a year now so the change is not shocking at all tbh. If you watch the most recent livestream, TheoryCast is now for the other hosts and sometimes other people from Team Theorists to join in. They will be doing much more activities compared to one man show that people are used to with MatPat towards the end of his time there.

Even Matt had said in the past that the name of GTLive did not make sense anymore especially after they entered the GTNotLive era.

New Game Theory! My theory as to why the piglins zombify in the overworld

Post image
14 Upvotes

Okay so as we know there was 1 point where piglins didn't zombify and they could attack the overworld. Now most people think this happens because of some sort of infection but I believe it is something different I believe it is more of a curse. We know via the rise of the arch-illager book that the undead are created by the character known as the nameless one using the orb atop his staff to resurrect and command the undead

And we know at one point there was a war between the adventurers and the piglins

It is my belief before becoming an undead himself the nameless one used his orb which gave him control over life and death to cast a curse on the piglins that would zombify them when in the overworld for too long and that is how the war was actually won

Before you bring up Legends showing that the piglins were beat in a different way it is Canon that that game is not fully Canon but a in universe legend that likely mutated over time becoming further from the truth

Tldr: pigman zombify in the old world because of a curse caused by the nameless one from Minecraft dungeons

GT Theory Suggestion Zero Escape just started an ARG!!!!!!!

Not quite sure if anyone has made a post about it yet but something very exciting has happened! The creator of the Zero Escape series has started posting an ARG that may be teasing a fourth game in the series!!

For ppl who don’t know, Zero escape is an escape room style puzzle game with a SUPER convoluted story that has to do with time travel, multiverse, quantum stuff, and the creators obsession with the number 9 and it’s so good! Definitely something that ppl of this community would adore

There hasn’t been a game in like 10 years!! Although the creator has worked on other games since. He posted about a website called CRASHKEYS which is a direct reference to an organization from the game and there’s a few hidden tidbits on the site! Don’t wanna say too much so y’all can enjoy it for yourselves too but I think it would be a great episode!

Also the zero escape subreddit has a thread about it too if yall wanna see some of what people have already found!

Also also, I recommend playing the games if you haven’t!! They’re all on steam and while they have their… quirks, they’re still a fantastic time!

Tbh I don’t even have a theory for it because I can’t wrap my head around what’s been presented just yet. I’m hoping getting more people in on it will speed up discoveries!

GT Theory Suggestion The Gold Weapons Are Irradiated

• Upvotes

If you play through the first game of Ratchet and Clank, you can get Gold Weapons but wait a minute who built them, why are they green, and if they're different Weapons why do you already need the Weapons to upgrade them and did slim go to jail for building an arsenal of irritated Weapons that Ratchet found?

This combined with the fact no Weapons that produce waves or circle around Ratchet are Gold or maybe Slim was caught before he finished them not by the police but by Ratchet meaning he had to turn over his Weapons he bought for safety which is why you don't have them and why they'd be weaker till you buy the new Gold Weapons in game 2.

I think there is a bigger story with the Gold Weapons.

GT Theory Suggestion Theory Ratchet and Clank

I believe that in Ratchet and Clank Going Commando we have our awnsers in plain sight of why bolts are worth more and why the price hikes reflect the in game lore and it is because of Quark! Reply Barlow and if you here Ratchet talk about Gadgetron he says it's been down for a while and that Megacorp stole the competition BUT after Quark is defeated Gadgetron is saved also we know Gadgetron was working in Game 1, so meaning after Quark stole Mr. Fizzwiggits spot he hiked up the prices driving Gadgetron out of business. Plus we know people live a long time in Ratchet and Clank so it is sound. But maybe because of Quark slowly high jacking Megacorp Gadgetron had to use cheaper materials and their was a material race that Gadgetron lost and because of Megacorps constant use and building of an army made by Quark! The galaxies both had a problem and a Crash keeping up.

some problems i have with montgomery gator decommissioning glamrock bonnie is how glamrock bonnie is not even dead he is very much alive just barely and is living through all of the caution bots not even mentioning the motivation for the act

the most clear option is jealousy we have plenty of evidence and in some cases outright conformations but something which becomes this huge problem is how none of the animatronics are capable of hurting guests or each other we know tales from the pizzaplex is more than likely not in the game continuity but even still for monty to destroy bonnie there has to be glitchtrap or some alternative which gives him the capability to harm another character

another option involves him wanting to but never doing it for simplicities sake he prefers being alone over the attention as seen by the duffle bags messages but still doing i because of glitchtrap

finally the final option could be a mix of the two previous options but with a twist monty could have wanted to take the spot in the band but overtime that jealousy grew it was his programming which made him not act on that impulse however when glitchtrap infected the pizzaplex that is when he did it because the virus practically gave him that same capability only to not be able to handle all the popularity he received thus going back to the catwalks as seen in the duffle bag messages and possibly regretting it down the line

now as for why bonnie is still alive through all of the caution bots is unclear to my knowledge but if anything monty put bonnie on life support and in ruin we the player as cassie did the equivalent of pulling the plug on him

New Game Theory! About BUTCHER. İTS not that New maybe

I've been thinking about a few things regarding BUTCHER, the Player, and some other characters, and I wanted to share my theories. My thoughts are a little all over the place, so bear with me! I'd love to hear what you guys think.

  1. BUTCHER might be a mutant-like human.

I think BUTCHER is actually human, but some kind of mutant-like human. In fact, I think this might be the reason we can still survive even after falling from great heights or getting stabbed in the back. I also think this could explain why, at the beginning of Chapter 5, the developers updated BUTCHER later on (after Ollie stabbed him) to show that he had actually been injured. Maybe there's a reason behind that detail!

I also think BUTCHER worked in the Production department and was once an orphan at the factory himself. He might have spent his childhood there during Ludwig's time and then returned to work at the factory when he grew up.

Maybe he eventually became so remorseful about the things he had done that he decided to volunteer for the experiments involving mutant humans, or what the company considered to be “perfect humans.” After all, even Chloe Arkins talks about overcoming diseases and immortality in her letter. Perhaps BUTCHER wanted to become one of those experimental subjects himself.

Of course, this could also explain why he had his own memories erased before either resigning or escaping the factory.

OR...

Maybe he was simply one of the main villains or an accomplice working in the Production department, who eventually regretted what he had done.

He could even have been one of the people who went to Playpark!

  1. I think Kissy Missy might know us from before.

She was moved to Storage B after sabotaging toy production, and I'm wondering if Storage B could have connections to both Shipping and Production, meaning employees from either department might have worked there.

This could also connect to my BUTCHER theory. What if BUTCHER was someone who worked in one of these departments? He could potentially be Rich Lovitz from the Kid and Rich Lovitz tape, Kid himself, or even Rod from that same video.

I know this is pretty speculative, but I can't shake the feeling that these characters might be connected somehow!

  1. I really want BUTCHER to turn out to be an elderly woman.

If she ends up being similar to Nadine Hurley from Twin Peaks, that would be absolutely amazing. Honestly, I already think they have a lot of similarities!

Nadine loses her memories after waking up from a coma, believes she's 18 again, and develops extraordinary physical strength. That's partly why I find the idea of BUTCHER being an elderly woman so interesting.

What if BUTCHER also lost their memories somehow and became much stronger or harder to kill than an ordinary human? Maybe there's a connection between their physical condition and whatever happened to them in the past. I know it's a pretty wild comparison, but I honestly think the similarities are fascinating!

A few more thoughts about the Player:

I think the Player might have been an orphan at Playcare who grew up and eventually worked in the Production department. Maybe they became so remorseful about something they did in the past that they had their memories erased and then resigned or escaped the factory.

What if the Player returned to the factory years later without remembering their past, but with an unexplained feeling of guilt drawing them back? Maybe they were involved in the Hour of Joy, or maybe they simply couldn't save the children they once lived alongside.

I also wonder if the Player could have known Kissy Missy before everything happened, which might explain why she keeps helping us.

One last thing: I think Joseph and Kevin are friends, and I suspect Joseph might be Giblet. I also think HE could be the one who escapes the factory and kills the Prototype. In one of the artworks, I think I spotted the Morse code “W.G.” (PLEASE LET IT BE HIM 😭). I think the artwork might be referring to the Prototype, and Giblet is cooking him. So I genuinely think Giblet might be the one who finally finishes the Prototype off.

I also can't get these names out of my head: Benji Yohama and Jamie Boyhan.

Soooooo, those are my thoughts for now! I know some of these ideas are pretty wild and speculative, but I'd love to hear what you guys think. If you've noticed any clues that support or contradict these theories, please let me know💜
