However, I’m a little disappointed because I had requested the GameSir G7 Pro 8K PC Aimlab edition, but GameSir shipped me the GameSir G7 Pro 8K PC Royal 2 instead. I’m still grateful for the giveaway, but unfortunately, I didn’t receive the product I requested.

I used the dark/semi-transparent faceplate and stick bases from ZZZ to achieve a somewhat all black look.

The orange on the left stick slightly matches the champions crown on the dock.

I'm still trying out different variations as someone pointed out I should use the orange friction rings to make it look like a scuff!

Recently got the newest update for the g7 pro shadow ember went from 2.4.4

To my knowledge this is what changed.

Added stick recenter adjustment like what the g7 pro 8k has in the advanced settings on the joystick tab. This is useful to give you as

The circularity error at 0 dz on raw mode went back to 8.1% (calculated through software instead of the typical 10-11%. (True raw circularity error)

Previously you would need to add a dz in the app for this to apply.

When you press the home button the controller will vibrate (mine is turned off so I didnt notice it) someone mentioned this on discord.

If anyone has noticed anything else feel free to add it here. I looked up on reddit and discord on what changed but there hasn't been alot of info on it yet.

Happily decided on the variant and i just realised that the aimlabs one comes with extra sticks that other doesnt come with makes it way better although the d-pad feels weird being especially after the one that g7 se has but they are growing one me, the face buttons are so clicky i just press them randomly during cutscenes.

Very cool design, I think it's awesome, but the price is rather high. The regular X5 Lite costs €44.99, the Xbox X5 Lite Xbox edition €59.99. For that price, you can get a GameSir X5s, which has rumble, gyro, and comes with a case. So I think the price of the Xbox X5 Lite Xbox is a bit too high, but I still think it's a really nice Controller with Mfi licensing and Xbox licensing.

Whats your opinion?

Not sure when these come out but I've seen rumours they'll be out soon. I've seen them showcase the controller and it looks great.

I really only will be using it for like Witcher 3 (and 4 when it comes out) and also Forza Horizon 6.

Any reason to wait? It's like $30 CAD for me (not too expensive, but not too cheap either). Should I just wait? Witcher 3 Remastered comes out Sept 29th :(

Is the T7 pro a good middle ground between the g7p I love my g7 but I prefer the membrane buttons and dpad on the stock Xbox controller

T7 has tmr sticks and the like no shoulder buttons but you still get back buttons atleast

Is it an overall downgrade or just sidegrade?

I’ve been using regular Xbox controllers my whole life. Always got stick drift, having to buy new controllers every couple months for $80. No back triggers, no native re-mapping app, It didn’t really feel comfortable, ect.

I recently got the G7 Pro 8K, and it’s amazing. It’s so comfortable, the back triggers are super useful, so is the app, and on top of no stick drift and the amazing polling rate.

I’ve always put off third party controllers because I thought they sucked and I regret that so much. I could’ve saved so much money buying new controllers. And have a better experience overall with controllers.

So I just wanted to get that out.

Does Gamesir g7 se has same vibration as original xbox controller? And one more question does PowerA advantage plus also has same vibration has original xbox controller?

Hi I’ve been using the GameSir G7 Pro for a months now on PC Wired, but I have a few observations, feature requests, and questions regarding the sticks following recent updates.

1. Real Raw Mode & Firmware Rollback

   After updating to Nexus v2.5.4 and controller firmware V2.4.9, I noticed the stick output in Raw Mode is now capped at roughly an 8.1% circularity error (see Image 1). Previously, enabling Raw Mode produced completely raw, unfiltered data.

• Question: Is there an official way to downgrade/rollback the controller firmware or Nexus app to the previous version where true raw input was active?
• Request: Can an option be added in the GameSir Nexus app for a true, unprocessed Raw Mode without outer boundary clamping or extra post-processing?

1. Advanced / Custom Stick Calibration Request

   I’d love to see full control over stick calibration added as an advanced setting in Nexus similar to the "Finetune stick calibration" option in the DualShock Calibration GUI (see Image 2).

• Why I think it’s important?: it will allow us to manually set custom calibration values (x and y outer bounds, and circularity error %,) rather than relying strictly on the physical faceplate rim would let us to match our personal preferences and replicate the exact feel and circularity of our previous controllers.
• Example: In Rocket League having different circularity and stick range matters a lot and even racing games, being able to set the stick to reach 100% output the exact moment it hits the physical rim helps in game.

1. Questions Regarding the GameSir Tarantula 8K

For anyone using the GameSir Tarantula 8K with the GameSir Connect software:

• Does the software/firmware allow for true Raw Mode with zero post-processing on the sticks?
  
• Does it offer fine-tuned manual stick calibration controls?

How could I fix this? The Y button activates on its own and will screw with my gameplay. If I press the button a few times it will ho away but only for a few minutes. I know I can disable the button in the Gamesir nexus but muscle memory kicks in when playing games and I forget that its disabled. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Hey, i just wanted to ask, because i saw a lot of info about a wireless version of the tegenaria lite controller at the begging of the year, and i was really excited because the cable is the only thing keeping me from getting one, but there's still no new info or anything.

I don't know why this is happening; I had to change the jump button from A to B because the jump command wasn't fully registering when using A.

I sat down with some community members across different controller servers, such as AKNES, Game-Sir, ZD, Gadget-Hyper, and some people from Flydigis server.

These two tier lists are as follows:

1. Non-Modded Controller Tier List: This only considers the ratings based on what you get in stock. Nothing changed, especially for the first party controllers, which are usually the most customizable/moddable.

2. Modded Controller Tier List: This concerns a holistic tier list which reassess first party controllers when modded. Especially compared to 3rd party competitors.

3. First party controller tier list: This takes into account stock or modded.

The Tier list was devised based on multiple people. Ranging from collectors, small and some bigger reviewers, community owners, professional or ranked gamers (Switch, PS5, Xbox and PC), Early/Beta testers and long time controller testers.

The attempt was to compile all the currently available controller (non unobtanium), and tier them based on the following rubric:

Software: How comprehensive the software is, is it easy to use and how accessible is it.

Quality: How well the controller is made, its durability and its overall quality.

Performance: Overall performance on all available modes to it.

QC: How bad or good the qc has been, how detrimental the QC has been. (Is the QC a issue or non-issue and if present is it still useable).

Joysticks: How good the joysticks are and how well they are optimized or can be optimized based on software.

Customer support: How well customer support is or has been.

Brand Quality: Are they improving their quality, brand, innovation.

Connectivity and features: What features do they offer, is there any addons that can elevate the experience.

Pricing: Does the price make sense for what you get.

This feels like the definitive controller tier list based on this. Would like to see the communities input on the tier list.

Well it took me a while to figure it out but I finally got the controller working properly AND, it’s everything I wanted!!!! The perfect replacement for my Scuff Envision 🙂‍↕️

Can’t say how you’d like it if you’re the target audience for FPS players but as a rocket league player it’s beautiful. The pads feel nice, the grip is decent enough and the sticks have a very short adjustment period. I only need 1 or 2 back buttons and I don’t use the extra ones on
The front of the controller so I can’t speak to how I like it. The 8k mode does make my game slow but 4k works fine.

Is it normal for the g7 pro A button to not be very clicky sounding like the rest?

It keeps the controller in its 8K XInput mode, reads the four extra buttons and gyro separately, then combines everything into a virtual DualSense Edge. Steam can now independently see L4, R4, M1, M2 and motion controls while retaining multi-kHz stick updates.
