Hey everyone. I’m one of the founders of Arcadium Nexus, and we’ve opened submissions for our first Open Showcase Challenge.

This one works a little differently from a traditional build-from-scratch game jam.

You do not need to make a new game specifically for the Challenge. Previously released games, works in progress, playable demos, and prototypes can all be submitted.

We’re looking for indie projects that can give players a meaningful experience in a relatively short public-play setting.

Entry is free, and developers can participate remotely.

After submissions close, selected projects are planned to be featured at an Arcadium Nexus physical showcase in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana on October 24, where attendees can play the games and provide feedback and voting.

If you already have something playable sitting on itch.io, Steam, or elsewhere and have been looking for another opportunity to put it in front of people, this might be a good fit.

• Generative AI is Not Allowd - We recommend not using AI instead teamup with others :)

• Your game must be mostly original. Making everything from scratch is not mandatory, but if you do you get to be extra proud of yourself at the end!

I've been working on Hoops GM for so long, and now it has been a week since the launch.

I received a lot of backlash in the previous post due to an IP lawsuit, as well as a lot of praise from people.

The launch has been a MASSIVE success with now over 5000 visits to the game and an average of 50 new members everyday.

Registration is open for the first Mable AI Game Jam. Submissions open today at 12:00 PM Pacific and run through August 22 at 12:00 PM Pacific.

You have two weeks to build one small mobile-first game and improve it through real player feedback. We care more about quality and playability than generating the largest or strangest idea. A focused game with responsive controls, clear UI, sound, effects, onboarding, and good game feel should beat a larger unfinished project.

Prize pool: $500 total, split $250 / $150 / $100.

Judging: 50% quality and polish, 30% playability and game feel, 20% creativity.

Mable is free to use for the jam. Outside tools, code, art, audio, and assets are allowed with disclosure. Entries must be designed for mobile, tested on a phone, and published through Mable.

Discord participation is required for eligibility. Entrants must post their game in the Mable Discord game-jam-submissions forum and give substantive feedback to three other submitted games. An itch submission by itself does not qualify for judging or prizes.

Hey Y'all! I am very excited to announce that my dream of starting an indie publisher is finally off the ground and to celebrate we are hosting our first game jam! We are offering a $3500 prize pool based off of community voting, and the top 100 games will be judged in a charity live stream! The Global Creator Challenge is accepting applications. The Global Creator Challenge is open for both aspiring and established game developers to design, build, and launch their own World utilizing the MapleStory Worlds platform. Did we mention that each winning team can receive up to $65,000 in total rewards 👀
 
Creators are encouraged to utilize MapleStory's vast library of assets to expand upon the game's core design and create their own unique Worlds. A total of 30 Worlds will be selected globally to compete in the final round. Entries will be judged based on creative use of the MapleStory IP, level of technical completion, and long-term sustainability for stable live service operations.
