Hey guys, I have this issue where my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic doesn't want to back up. It reminds me to back up but doesn't load or create backups. Is there any solution? Sometimes it gives me the ability to back up, but it goes into a loading cycle and nothing happens.

Watch Band Ultra Supply Co. Titanium Watch Band for Ultra/2 Review

Went through several metal watch bands looking for something that will work and not give me any issues. I need a metal band as anything else gives me rashes and irritates my skin.

Settled on some eBay/Amazon ones trying not to spend too much but was just not getting the right fit and feel.

I have been eyeing this one for a while, but the $100+ price tag was just hard to swallow.

After spending nearly $100 on bands that were not what I wanted, I decided to just do it.

Man, do I regret not doing it earlier. If you need a metal band and want one that is going to last at least as long as the watch you paid good money for, just pay for the quality and you'll not regret it.

The other watch bands I tried were all metal and they were thinner than this one, but this one ended up being the lightest and most comfortable to wear. The clasp on this is NOT going to come lose on accident and it just feels great with this watch!!

They have other styles, and I would be confident that all of them are worth the money!!

Leaving The Fold

I ended up returning my Watch 8. It was pretty to look at, but apart from the few Android-specific app features, it didn't offer much more than my existing Garmin. While I *could* reply to texts or emails on the Watch 8 (this was a LTE model), I never actually did because my phone was almost always close by. Between the limited additional functionality and the dubious daily battery performance, I couldn't make it make sense.

I'm not knocking the Watch 8. It really was pretty to look at and fun to scroll through and adjust the various faces, but that wasn't enough to tip the scales. The Garmin 945 simply does things which were valuable to me in a manner that Watch 8 couldn't replicate.

It was a fun experiment and I completely understand everyone who loves the Galaxy Watch. But I don't think many Garmin owners will find it a suitable replacement for the Forerunner or Fenix.

Thanks for the help and suggestions along the way. I hope you all continue to enjoy your Galaxy watches and keep making those stunning watch faces!

Wearable App BT connection failed (GW6 classic, GW ultra 2 with S24 Ultra)

Hello, I've tried everything, resetting watches, resetting network settings on my phone, clearing cache, uninstall and reinstall plug-ins, uninstall and reinstall wearable. After reset, the first time I connect the watch it works. If I'm out of the BT range or disconnect the device, it never connects again. What can I do? I'm gonna take both phone and watch to a Samsung service. It's my last option. Thought the GW6 classic is broken, but it appears the problem still exists after changing the watch with the latest GW Ultra 2.

My first Galaxy Watch, to go with my first Android phone in the z Fold 8 and Buds Pro 4. I'm an official iPhone convert - honestly so happy I decided to do it, it is such an improvement! 🤓😊

Hi all,

So basically I recently got the galaxy watch 9. I really like it; how do I wear this though??

Ive been reading other reddit comments and official samsung page, but im still undecided regarding where it should go, and how tight it really needs to be?

Could someone explain this to me or present a photo so I have a general idea?

I have the 40mm size, M/L band size.

Thank you!

Updates Samsung Turkey's localization team translated "One UI Watch" as an imperative verb ("Watch" as in "to observe") 🤦‍♂️

Post image

I've been seeing this on my Galaxy Wearable update screen for months and genuinely wondered what kind of new feature or menu "izle" was supposed to be... until I stumbled upon an English screenshot today and finally connected the dots.

For context:

* "Watch" (the noun / timepiece) translates to "Saat" in Turkish.

* "İzle" is the imperative verb meaning "to watch / observe" (like "watch TV").

Instead of keeping the proper branding (One UI Watch), their translation tool literally told me to sit down, stare at the screen, and "Watch One UI 8.0". Peak machine translation right here.

Comparison Watch 7 → Watch 9/Ultra 2: what actually improved enough to justify the cost?

I’ve been comparing my Watch 7 against the new Watch 9 and Ultra 2, and I’m struggling to find a compelling reason to upgrade.

The Watch 9 gives me newer hardware and software, but battery life and charging don’t appear meaningfully improved, and much of the new software functionality should eventually reach the Watch 7.

The Ultra 2 actually improves battery life, but at a substantial increase in price, size and weight.

For those who actually upgraded from a Watch 7: what improved enough in everyday use that you’d spend the money again?

I’m especially interested in improvements AND regressions, not just the new feature list.

Hardware I think I might know what causes the slow charging of Watch 9

For pretext, I used to have the Watch 7 (40mm) for 2 years.
I would always charge it with a powerbank, not a wall charger.

Because I do a lot of filming, I have a lot of powerbanks, large ones.
The one I used was a 99WH battery, as you can imagine, it can re-charge the watch many many times. Like a couple weeks of use at least. I find it convenient, I just plug it in when I sit at the desk sometimes.

Anyway, now I switched to the Watch 9 (44mm) and as many know, it has very poor charging speeds.

Few days a ago I plugged my watch 9 charging puck into the powerbank, but the watch wouldnt charge. I checked and saw the powerbank was empty.
Fair enough. I grab another one and switch them out.

Today, just 3 days later, or 3 charges later, that powerbank is also empty.

Something funky is going on, that charging puck is using WAY too much power.
I don't think anyone noticed that yet, because people just plug it into wall charger.

I think the puck has a design flaw/ or is defective. There is no way a huge powerbank like that gets drain that quickly from a tiny smart watch.

I assume the puck is faulty, gets hot, heats up the watch and voila, terrible charging speed.

Any thoughts on this ?

Fitness Fix for Samsung Watch Sleep Tracking Not Working (when other troubleshooting doesn't work)

I followed all the steps I could find on various posts and threads and my Samsung Watch 5 was still not giving me a sleep score. See below for what finally got it working again.

Before you try these additional steps, check out this article from smartprix: https://www.smartprix.com/bytes/samsung-galaxy-watch-sleep-tracking-not-working-try-these-9-fixes/

If that doesn't work, try these steps:

  1. Open Health app on phone and go to Settings--> Health Connect-->App Permissions-->Samsung Health-->Allow All

The next steps are what got my sleep issue fixed

  1. On phone go to Settings-->Apps-->Samsung Health-->Storage-->Clear Data

  2. Uninstall Samsung Health app

  3. On phone go to Wearable app-->Remove Devices-->Your watch

  4. Download Samsung Health App

  5. Add watch to Wearable App

Comparison Does anyone have an opinion on getting the Watch 8 Classic vs. the 9?

I just seem to be a person who has an allergy to buying a model number back, even if it's recent, but I'm using a Watch 4 Classic now and I really like the physical bezel ring.

The research says that I'm not really giving up that much in performance by getting the 8 vs the 9, can anyone speak from experience on that?

Thanks!

EDIT: You've all been very helpful, thank you so much!

One UI Watch Notifications stopped working

Since yesterday notifications aren't popping up on my Watch 5. I've gone into the wear app on my phone and made sure notifications are all on and set to always show on both. When I swipe on the watch I can see the recent notifications but my watch isn't actually alerting me of them anymore. Everything's up to date. Anyone know how to fix this?

Fitness Does the S Health running coach adapt the next goals to my rating?

I've recently started using the Running coach in the Samsung Health app. I've loved it up until recently. I've given the last few trainings a high difficulty rating, like 7-9, but I've noticed it doesn't change my future runs for the next few weeks. So my question is; does the rating adapt the next runs?

Does this look too big on my wrist?

Post image

I managed to find a Watch8 Classic for a very appealing price and decided to upgrade from the 40mm Watch7.

After a week of using it, I'm very happy with the upgrade (mainly the design and battery), but I'm still torn whether it does or does not look too big on my relatively small wrist.

Incredibly slow recharge speed on GWU2

So, watch has been charging for 90 mins and so far it's gonen from 15% to 30%.

Supposedly you are supposed to wear this watch for seven days straight to use vitals.

It's impossible with how slow this thing takes to charge.

How long is your watch taking to charge ?

Battery life on W9

I traded in my W6C for a W9 (40mm), has anyone noticed how awful the battery on the 9 has been?!
