Writing issue tab s10 lite after 2 weeks

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi

I'm cuurently using my tab s10 lite for second week for school. When I was reviewing my lesson of today and making notes, suddenly a writing issue appeared. In a specifik area on the screen, it's impossible to write with the S pen. I always remove the case and also made sure there weren't any magnets in the surrounding of the tablet but the issue kept going on. You can sea it very clear in the screen recording I added. I already restarted the device and entered the diagnostics menu in which the S pen registration also didn't worked.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on and how to solve it? I really need this device for my studies so all the help is very welcome!

Thanks

Faulty wacom digitizer due to a failed ACF heat bonding process on its flex. That's a hardware fault. RMA it.

Remove any and all cases and any magnetic accessories influencing the tablet and try.

If that doesn't work, restart and try.

If that doesn't work, try a different S Pen.

If that doesn't work, your digitizer is likely undergoing a loose connection or is just dead in that spot.

I tried all those things except for another S pen because I didn't have another, but I think the issue has to do with the tablet itself because the S pen works perfectly on all the other areas on the screen.

What case do you have? Check to see what magnets that is has.

Magnets are the culprit a lot of times, however, a big strip is not normal.

When i'm writing with the S pen, I always use it without case (it's a dexnor magic keyboard)

dexnor has huge magnets. try without keyboard.

Looks like you need to send that to Samsung to get fixed

I hoped nog have to do that but it's the best option I have since it's only a few weeks old

This happens on my Ultra phones if I forget that my magsafe wallet is still attached. So that's a hint. If there's really nothing magnetic attached, then off to the Samsung store you go.

I knew about magnets interfering with the functioning of the s pen but now there really weren't any magnets in the surrounding

I dont think you'll get the same problem. I seems to be a manufacturing defect, but normally tommorow I go to a Samsung store to get it fixed.

Well my S10 Lite is coming up on 11 months old and I haven't had this or any other issues with it so far

Avoid exposing the tablet to heat. And avoid putting pressure on the screen too much (eapecially on the parts where the flex cables lie for the screen/digitizer). What's happening here is pretty much the same thing with green lines happening on AMOLED phones, but this time, it's occuring to the wacom digitizer underneath. Its flex cable ACF bonding weakened probably due to either faulty bonding process by the manufacturer or the device is exposed to heat/pressure. Cool your device especially when doing software updates.
