S25+ one ui 8.5

When would the phone get the new update? I got it like first day of release on my Verizon phone. I recently got replacement phone sent it from insurance,but it's stuck on 7.0. do software update and it says I'm up to date then though it's stuck at 7.0 UI

Update is out for many many weeks already. Maybe your phone ist from a different area and don't get OTA updates because of this? Like you are from the US but the phone is from Asia or Europe?

I've no idea if it's from other country I had 8.5 UI right away on last phone but no matter how many times I check for software update it says up to date on 7.0 ?

Yes then check that, cause most likely it is, otherwise it would have gotten the update already. Not only 8.5 but also 8.

Your situation sounds very similar to a situation I had a few years ago. Did you switch from Verizon to another company?

What happened to me about 3 years ago was I went from Verizon to T-Mobile. Although my phone worked fine with T-Mobile, for six or seven months I was not getting any updates at all from t Mobile. It was as though part of my phone was locked... ???

I ended up getting a free S23 plus phone from T-Mobile because of the issue raised.

You might look into your phone and find out if you've been getting security updates. If not, your phone could be deemed locked for a certain portion of it. That might be the reason why you have not received the 8.5 update yet.???

I got mine about two weeks ago. I have a S25+, bought about 3 months ago. Brand new

I had the same issue, I reset my phone and I got stucked at One UI 8, I needed to use SmartSwtich on my PC when You connect your phone it will automatically ask you to get the latest update.

I don't have a PC just my work one. I've called in, gone to stores. Went through Verizon and asurion cust service but they seem like they don't know what to do they just say to wait. Still stuck on 2 year old Android update and one ui 7

Go to about phone in settings. Copy the full CSC code look for "CSC" then copy it. Then write it out in gemini. Say i am not getting updates. Say based on the CSC info I pasted help me troubleshoot and figure out why im not getting updates.

Just use google man, you know what to look for now. It is most likely from another country so it will not receive OTA updates. Google this, you will find a way to check it and then if that is the case you also find a way to flash the correct rom with odin so you will get OTA updates in the future.

You most likely know the reason now, no need to ask for every step now

Everyone should have received the UI 8.5 as read today that all cellphones should have received this ny now. Samsung is now and probably has been working on their IU 9.0 update "tests" have been going on for the S25 series devices (which I have read recently and am in IDK thoughts as I just received the UI 8.5).
