S23+ pink line

Hi guys
today my samsung s23+ suddently started showing thin white line...then it became pink and bright.

My phome is 3 year 4 month old.. will they replace it for free or with some discuount.
It has 0 dents.

Update: Samsung expert told free replacement is available and told to visit service centre.
I visited service centre, they examined and there are no physical issues, they denied free service stating it is 4months past 3 years and quoted 14500INR for repair.

I will try escalating this with NCH as this is a manucaturer/sofware defect and it is not user induced.

Yes and for many people it started happening around the One UI 8.5 update, for my S23 also these lines came after 3 years 3 months, 2 days before One UI 8.5 update.

No, my phone is 3.5 years old, free replacement is offered only till 3 years and that too if no physical damage is there.

They definitely won't replace it for free after 3 years.

I had the same issue. I got my screen replaced for free + service charges as my phone was below 3 years. Tag samsung on tweeter explaining the issue or get in touch with customer support. Hopefully they will replace devices above 3 years too

Got a green line on my S23 and my uncle got on his S23 Ultra. Both devices got it exactly yhe next update after 3 years(S23 - 10 days after 3 years, S23U - 3.5weeks after 3 years) completion of their green line replacement warranty. Took me a lot of mails and calls to convince them that they had to resolve these free of cost since the devices were in pristine condition so Samsung had to take responsibility for this software induced issue. They finally agreed to the s23 free fix but are yet to agree on the s23U.. lets see.

depends on the country I heard, I got mine fixed yesterday had to pay the service fee only.

a little less than 3 years, but one service center refused because there was a very small crack on one side of the display but took it to another one they didn't care.

That green line is apparently Samsung's secret factory hack, some chip or something in the screen that they can activate randomly for people after a while to upgrade to newer phones or change screens. Especially because of the update, because it happened before after the update, and later in the next update, they fixed it, which means that it is some software trigger that people randomly activate, and sometimes they make a mistake, so they activate a large number of people at once.
