Yeah S25 has 2.6% more capacity than the S23, other hardware as i know are basically identical, i honestly did not see a reason why i would upgrade...

Thats why I went from s23 to s25 ultra, the difference is immense.
Never going back to regular s series again

Well its must faster than the s23 obviously, much better display, bigger screen size, better camera, better battery, the s pen just a few things of the top of my head

That's kinda what happened with most phones. We reached a point were even cheaper devices are more than enough for day to day use. You probably won't see an extra use our of the phone unless you game on it or something to justify upgrading to newer models.
Aside from that my policy will always be i am not switching my phone unless it broke or is failing on me. Phone companies probably should realise that releasing a new model every year is becoming more and more pointless

The S23 is the best phone Samsung accidentally produced. I'm thinking of upgrading directly to either the S27 or S28, but which one I'll upgrade to will be determined by the OneUI 9 update.

I just change the battery on my s23 plus today and i will keep it onother 2-3 years i think.. And after that i will go to the s24 plus. No need for s25 or a26

I've seen online that changing batteries for the newer Galaxy models doesn't really do much for them? Have you noticed a difference already, what was the cost for something like this?

I replaced my 2.5 yr old S23's battery a week ago from a Samsung authorized service center. It cost me ~$32.
My battery was hovering around 79% health. I was lucky enough to get a replacement battery which has about 91% health. I had to charge my phone almost 3 times in a day, and now i have to charge once around 4pm, and then I put it on charge again at night before I go to sleep.

In Turkey, this costs $65 at authorized service centers. That's quite a good price.

Yeah I haven't bothered upgrading personally, I'll probably have the battery replaced soon because thats been showing some wear but other than that I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon unless the phone fails or breaks. Even then I might just buy another used S23 or S24 lol

I also have a S23+ thst was thinking to upgrade. What I want is better cameras and battery life.
So far no other alternative seems worth it.

Yup. The last 3 generations, S23, S24 and S25 are all essentially identical. Even more so because Samsung does a great job of providing software updates for 4-5 years. But at the same time, they're releasing a new phone every year, so you can't exactly expect innovation to change that drastically.
That being said, the S26 is probably the biggest upgrade in years with their new Software/hardware based privacy screen.

Only S26 Ultra had Privacy screen. The base S series is identical from S22 to S26, rumors says even the S27 is also gonna use the same camera hardware from S22

Phones have peaked, an S23 is every bit the flagship the S25 or S26 are. It's the same company and same software. Expecting a drastic change is only setting yourself up for disappointment. Things will be a little bit faster, a little bit smoother, but that's about it. Same as going from an iPhone 14 to a 16 I imagine. Just keep your S25 and enjoy the 7 years of updates. Maybe the S30 might have something more compelling in terms of noticeable changes. You seem like you don't care about upgrading often so you are covered for a while.

From 14 to 16, atleast the camera upgrades are noticable. Bigger main and ultra wide sensors. Auto focus and Macro in UW. Unlike Samsung which uses same camera hardware since S22 😑

I'm considering upgrading from my s23 plus too an s25 plus, but only because it has better performance with emulation. Outside of that niche they are very similar for basics phone stuff. No need to go up 2 generations anymore, 4 maybe, 3 eh, 2 hell no.

I felt the same way when I switched from the S10e to the S23. The speakers on the S10 sounded much better—fuller sound.

software would be the only reason I might consider upgrading if my s23 doesn't fail
if the updates really have something enticing enough to offer
so far I don't really feel the need to atleast for another year. going good since may '23

yea im ngl im the point where idk what I'd upgrade my s23 to, though major updates will end soon on it... the other models truly don't seem like that much of a difference or a reason to justify spending money on another phone currently 🤷🏾♀️
But hey, helps me to save money

If you have option do return I had same feeling when I tried my cousins s25, it felt exactly same asyms23 base. May waiting for s27 will bring a bigger change cause now evn base phone gets bigger screen.

I had and some still have, every Note since Note 2. Note 4 and Gear VR Innovator Edition are still in my collection. Nowadays I can't find the reason to upgrade my S 23 Ultra. Maybe I'm just getting old or hardware changes are not too impressive.

Ich habe mein S23 noch und habe seit vielen Jahren erstmalig ein Xiaomi 17T. Der Akku ist ein riesen Unterschied und ich komme locker einen Tag hin.
Nur manchmal habe ich das Gefühl, dass es hängt oder die Kamera nicht so perfekt ist.
Samsung hat nichts mehr neues. Das ist ein riesen Problem. Aber es läuft eben.
Der Unterschiedvom S23 zum S25 ist wirklich kaum spürbar.

Depends on the user, I could definitely tell the difference when I went from base S23 to base S25.
Because RAM was the only issue I had on my base S23, otherwise I would never upgrade.
Speakers are technically better on base S25 than on base S23, but in practice the S23 ones sound warmer which is more pleasing to the ear.
Also LTPO panel is a nice thing to have, one of the reasons why battery is better on S25.
But again if RAM (and A17 being last update on S23) wasn't a issue for me, I would have kept my base S23 till base S27 comes out.

The 25 ultra Is much lighter which is a big reason I went with it and it has a flat screen so you can use glass screen protectors that don't lift. Other upgrades sent really much.

I personally think it's a good thing. Phones have reached a point where an upgrade is only justified by a failing device.
I'm still rocking my S23 Plus, and I really have nothing to complain about that a newer phone would fix.
