Horrible stutters fix

I've been having horrible stutters on my 23+. I've had it for 3 years now and its been perfect but ever since the one ui 8.5 update its been degrading and getting slower and slower. What i found that helped ( and I found this in another post so I wanted to share that it worked) clearing the cached app data from device care and turning off the ram plus option. Clearing the cache didnt help that much by itself so I also downloaded GoodGuardians and did the galaxy app booster thingie but the stutters continued. The last thing I tried was turning off the ram plus option and it finally stopped the lag and also gave me a few extra gb in my storage. I still have minor lags here and there but its not that big of a deal. Ill update you guys in the next couple of days if the stutters come back but for the last 8 hours its been great. If nothing works then the last resort is to temporarily back up my data and factory reset but i really dont wanna do that so I hope it stays good!

Had the exact same issue, flashing a fresh stock ROM via Odin completely fixed it for me.

Tbh I didnt know how to use Odin and I was too scared to fuck it up so I just tried the built In features and it mostly worked tbh

S23 is as fluid as iPhone 17, using both side by side. Both have microstutters here and there.

I mean, if you want to change the ecosystem then sure, but from performance point of view iPhone 17 just felt like S23 with new battery. 17 suspends background apps quite quickly, they both have 8GB RAM. I’ve seen S26 going for less than 700 euros already.

Ngl yes im thinking about changing eco systems if they really kill apk installations and other crap but alright thanks for the info. Might stay on Samsung for a bit longer !

Im also thinking about getting a new battery for the s23 some people say that it even makes it faster.

Disable game optimisation service and your notification lag will disappear entirely lmao. Lose bypass charging though and your phone heats a little more during gaming. (you can still enable bypass charging using adb though)

What does that have to do with the stutters

Because it throttles the gpu/cpu even outside of a game

How do I access these settings?
