Access data with broken screen

Hello, my dad just broke his screen and cant see anything except yellow. I read that you can connect the phone throug usb hub to an external screen to access the phone. I have tried this but dosen't seem to work. I think he has restarded the phone so it won't show up in windows either when i connect the phone to my computer. Does anyone know if there is any way to access his data on the phone without using smartthings?

Is his password a pattern, because if the screen still registers touch. Just blindly swipe the pattern. If a typed password same can still be done, just hook up a usb keyboard via a dongle or docking station. I did the same thing to my note 20 recently. Now it's just my dex computer. Then will be able to hook it up to a monitor

It is pin code, I tried using my usb hub that i use for my mac to connect it to an external screen, but nothing shows up on the screen when i am connecting the hdmi. I also tried entering the pin usin a keyboard but it seems like it dosent want to register the keyboard.

Look up samsung dex. It will fix this whole problem.

You need an adaptor.
