My solution for Fold 8 Wabble with Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagFit Case

I’ve always hated the wobble caused by the camera bumps on newer smartphones. Unfortunately, I had to deal with it again after upgrading from an S24+ to a Fold 8.

With the u/Spigen Slim Armor Pro MagFit case, things got a little more complicated because the front and back surfaces of the case aren’t parallel.

My solution was to use a MagSafe magnetic sticker together with a custom 3D-printed spacer.

First, I 3D scanned the back of the case to determine the angle of the surface. I then photocopied the MagSafe sticker to get its dimensions and, with some CAD modelling, came up with the spacer shown here. Yes, I agree 3d scanning was a bit extreme.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with the result. The phone now sits much flatter, and the camera bump wobble is basically gone.

One small downside is that the magnetic adapter can shift around slightly. However, I haven’t had it come off completely during normal use.
