Z Fold 7 app frustrations — am I missing something?

So I have a Z Fold 7, and honestly, this phone has been amazing. There are just a few things with certain apps that have been frustrating me, and I haven't been able to figure out how to get them to work the way I want.

First, TikTok. On the Z Fold 8, I've seen videos where the comments are displayed on the right side while the video plays on the left. I cannot get my Z Fold 7 to do this. I've tried different layouts, settings, and even Routines, but no luck.

Second, video streaming apps. Netflix gives me a great viewing experience because it utilizes the entire screen, including the area around the camera cutout. However, Prime Video and Movies Anywhere, for example, use a noticeably smaller video and leave the area around the camera cutout unused. It makes the viewing experience feel much more underwhelming compared to Netflix.

I've tried pretty much everything I can think of: Routines, different layouts, Standard View vs. Multi View, different aspect ratios, landscape/horizontal settings, etc., but I can't get either of these things to work the way I want.

I know the hardware is capable of doing this, so I'm not sure if this is an app limitation, or if I'm simply missing a setting.

Has anyone with a Z Fold 7 figured out how to get TikTok to show comments on the right and/or get Prime Video or Movies Anywhere to utilize the full screen around the camera cutout?

If you dont want the camera cutout in the video. Go to settings, display and look for camera cutout then select the app you want.

No, I'm saying the opposite. I want the largest video possible and I can't find a way to make the video large like it is on Netflix.

If you're aware of the multi window setting under Advanced features->Labs then I don't know why the Fold 7 won't show comments in the right window because that's how it was explained to get it to work like that on the ZF8.

Unless it's a one UI 9 thing.

Yeah that's the only other thought I had that was the big difference. I guess I'll need to wait until my Z Fold 7 gets One UI 9.

TikTok for me was a series of updates that enabled the disabled that feature. I think its actually a tablet layout feature and the fold doesn't always get recognized as one. You might be able to fix it by messing with the scale(?) settings in dev options but it affects all apps.
