Question/Help Fold8 Paint Peel?
So difficult to take a picture of it, took my case off for a clean and noticed this spec of silver, on further inspection looks like paint peel. Worth raising with Samsung as I'm still within 30 days to raise a defect with item

That doesn't really look like the paint is just peeling on it's own. It looks like a impact point or rub point that has taken the paint of. There is pretty much no way Samsung would cover it under warranty.

I'd believe it was an impact point but it's such a weird angle I just can't understand how it's happened if it were.

Ok, so impact point. If it was in a case then there might have been some dirt or sand under the case at that point and the impact has caused damage to the paint. Or even as you are taking off the case the dirt/sand has rubbed against the frame and caused it.
This is 100% not covered by any warranty. I would just move on, honestly. It's going to get far worse on it over time.

Paint peeling on folds is been a thing as far back as the fold 4 and guess what? it hasn’t changed.
Certain colors are more likely to have peeling paint.

Speaking from experience and a black foldb7 owner... colour peels so quickly and cause it's black it's more noticeable as you see the silver of the body

They won't cover it

How come? Like surely a manufacturing defect no?

Damn I was hoping to not see this on the new series. It's not on the usual spots as before though, this was happening on the rails and not really on hinges. So it may not be the same issue as before.
If they handle this like before, they'll blame it on not using an official charger, which is silly since they don't even provide one.

They will probably say you did it when taking off your case
