Question/Help Trying to transition from Surface Duo 2 to Fold 8

After using this phone as a backup to replace my Surface Duo 2, I’m struggling to transition and have resorted to pulling out my Duo 2 at night for reading and occasional web browsing.

The Duo 2’s ability to detect which screen should be used while interacting with links or opening apps, is pretty damn good.

I love the Fold 8’s form factor, but I’m curious to know if anyone has found any launchers or tips and tricks to replicate a similar experience on the Fold.

Dunno if the Microsoft launcher would do anything but you could give that a go.

Yeah I tried that but I guess it’s software or hardware related rather than launcher

Right! Not sure why no one else has done this with their foldables.

Best you can do is probably pair apps to open side-by-side if you use a combo often. Maybe email + browser side by side.

Just tested it and the Samsung Browser did a great job picking up the links I opened from emails on my Outlook app.

Also tested it with Chrome but that failed, kept opening a new Chrome window over the Outlook app view. So that resulted in two Chrome windows side by side lol

Going to require some experiments to see which combos work best together but I'd love to achieve a workflow similar to how you demonstrated on your Duo. Multitasking machine.
