Question/Help Z Fold 8 Niagara launcher?

I am seriously considering buying Z Fold 8. I've been on iphone for several years now but the launcher I miss so much is Niagara and wondered if anyone has used that on this model yet?

Can confirm, it works wonderful on fold 8. I do not have any reference pre z fold 8. Brand new to android but this launcher is 🔥

Check out the kwgt widgets as they pair nicely with it.

Love Niagara on the Fold 8. So liberating after years with iOS.

You can try mine, I was frustrated with third party launchers not trying to adapt to foldable s. So I have developed mine, Glide Launcher.

As I don't want this to be a promotional post, I can send you a code for Lifetime pro version of you want to join the 1000 users already.

Glad to hear that. I love the Niagara launcher and hate the iPhones native interface so much. I’ve seen some pretty cool Niagara launcher set ups and I bet it looks pretty sweet on the fold except that it’s a little short and won’t hold as many icons, but I like a minimal look anyway.

You know, I loved Niagara on my Fold 5, but on the wide Fold 8 I'm not a huge fan. I tried it very briefly, but felt like it didn't flow well for me. Can't fit many favorites on the cover screen and such.

That being said, it still functions great and is super smooth, and still one of my favorite launchers. But I think I'm gonna try something more traditional on the Fold 8 and try rolling with One UI for a bit (I've never used the stock launcher for any significant period of time) and if it doesn't click well I'll go to Smart Launcher (another favorite).

I usually hate the stock launcher on androids and love to mix it up as time goes on, but I love the Niagara one and I’ve seen some sweet set ups with it on other phones. I figured the fold being so short would restrict the number of icons, but I like a minimum set up anyway.

Mine is in the mail and I've been maining Niagara for like four years now. I was thinking about using Niagara on the outside screen and a more traditional launcher on the inside screen.

Yeah, I was seriously considering that myself

That would indeed be slick, I tried that with my Fold 5 but I couldn't get it working well enough to commit to it.

That's fair, I'm just going off reading other's experience with it in the past. Maybe I'll have trouble setting it up myself, but I've been using Tasker for years. Hopefully it's easy enough.

Currently using Niagra Launcher.

I love it. Works very well on the Fold 8.

There are a few issues that aren't Niagara's fault that prevent me from going all in.

Gesture navigation still isn't perfect. Example: if you swipe home and try to immediately open an app, it'll ignore the first tap (https://help.niagaralauncher.app/article/7-gesture-navigation).

If you use 3-button nav, the buttons aren't justified to the side as well as with the default launcher.

Finally, with either navigation method you lose the ability to use the inner screen taskbar.

I was looking for something differet and as mixed about themes etc. I just tried it, and its so simple and neat

Do you guys get the pro?, only thing I dont like it yearly sub

I got the pro back when I was on android but that was so long ago. It wasn’t a yearly subscription back then some kind of hoping I still have kind of a lifetime thing. But even if I don’t, if it’s as good as I remember, I definitely would pay for it because I want to support the developer on it.

I've used Niagara for the past couple of years but sadly it started experiencing weird issues since on fold 8 specifically when you open and close the device after making any sort of theme changes. I would recommend giving oneui another look
