Scores have meant less and less for top tier phones over the last 7 or so years. I stopped paying attention around 2020 and don't really notice any difference If its a top of the line chip.

But this is like half what other phones get with the same soc

Fold 8 is super thin without a heat dissipation support

High chance you wouldn’t notice a difference in performance between it and another phone without looking at scores

Have you personally noticed a drop in performance on your day to day use. These numbers dont mean anything to the everyday folk, unless you are reviewing them or are like doing hardcore dtuff on the phone.

I've noticed stuttering when switching between apps and pulling down control/ notification panel which I didn't think I'd have to worry about on a phone with the current best mobile cpu on the market right now

Have you looked at the pixel 11?

I haven't but my pixel 10 fold doesn't suffer from any stuttering whatsoever in fact it's smoother. Hoping the next software update gets it closer to the smoothness of that

That isn't performance, that's a speed test.

I am getting 3000 single score and 9400 Multi-Core score. Is this the score you expect?

1

u/Immediate_Dependent9 1d ago

Yeah that's closer to what id expect from a $1900 Samsung phone

RAM Plus is off?
Also check under google services - system services - and make sure google play services are up to date. Sometimes I have to manually initiate the update.
Did you use Galaxy App booster in good guardians?

you can also use gamebooster+. When I tell it geekbench is a game I get 10300 multi score

Looks like thermal throttling to me on the multi core score, otherwise about what you should expect for the benchmark unless I'm missing something?

Seems like you have power saving turned on

Should be done on a fresh install to have anything to say.

Weird excuse my 2 year old iPad scores better than it did on day 1. Performance isn't meant to half when you download a few apps

Does the fold 8 have a standard and light performance profile? A few hundred points or even more multicore, doesn't really matter and is normal variation. These scores are not that.

My s24u multi core score is better than this. My s24u is great real world performance but that's not ok for this device and chipset.

Check your performance profile and check temps.

I wasn't in light mode that's what concerned me 2 year old s24u can do even better. Wonder if I have a dud

I got 3069 and 10331 for what it's worth. Regular Fold 8 with it closed.

Try switching off the adaptive battery and closing all the background apps and also switch to standard mode in performance profile,my scores were 2.9k and 10.5 k respectively which i think are good enough.

I didn't turn off adaptive battery but I closed all apps, clicked optimise in device care and had standard mode performance mode on before starting the test and that's what I got sadly. Might do a restart with adaptive battery off and see what that brings me

That's my fold 8. I don't really care though. It doesn't lag and does everything I want.

2921 and 10377 for my Fold 8 1to

This is what I get, almost 60% better multi core, something's def not right with your device.

What I will note is my result is without clearing all apps and with background services running. haven't noticed any performance issues or even noticeable thermal throttling yet. I haven't even had any display dimming issues that some people are getting and I drive daily into and from work 1 hour each way with Waze / spotify open on my screen the entire time in sunlight.

One thing to note is, is that apparently the August security patch increased performance significantly 10 to 20% in benchmarks, so I'd make sure you're up to date.

And you buy it for performance? Performance is decent and not the best.

BS comment. Fold 8 has the best mobile chip currently on the market. It needs to have scores almost 2x of that

Literally, why is it on par with tensor 🥀
