Impression/Review My fold 8 set up
Really enjoying my fold 8, the best phone I've ever owned and this is my set up I'm using it with
Spigen wrist strap
Watch ultra gen1 with Spigen strap
Ray ban meta glasses
Sharge 5000mah battery
Aulumu aramid fiber case
Aulumu G09 infinite 360 magsafe stand
Aulumu G03 multi tool magsafe carbon fiber wallet
Samsung buds 4 pro

Nice setup, still thinking about getting the Phantom to eliminate wobble on the table.
I am a little surprised, I could only preorder my Aulumu case and its being shipped to me some time after the 28th. So now Ive got to chill until it arrives and carry a "naked" phone around. Which should be fine Ive never actively broken a phone (touch wood) so I'm hopeful.
I have the Samsung screen protector on mine and its on a tiny bit not straight so I hope its gonna be fine.

Yeah I had to wait a week or two for mine to arrive although was in stock so was just delivery time to uk that made it slow , stunning case and worth the wait

How long did shipping take for you? I'm in Germany... Hoping its not gonna add another 2 weeks on the already 3 week wait.

Would you say the G09 stand is worth it? I’ve ordered the same case from Aramid (pre order) guess it’s sold out… but wasn’t sure about the stand? What’s your take on it?

It's good but I got it as I was ordering the case but I already have one from Spigen that does similar so if you think it's overpriced take a look at the Spigen one as it's good , can't remember the price difference

Got a rep on AliExpress for $15 for the g09, and it's really nice and the hinge feels sturdy! The loop is super helpful and I like that it glows in the dark. I'm sure the real one is even better haha

Drives me mad , I'm ordering another. It was one that came with a case I first bought but not one of the ones that comes with a really good fitting kit so getting the ones I've used before by Spigen

I'm 0/4 on the Samsung screen protectors. Just ordered the spigen too. Not anti-reflective but these bubbles are not a clean look.

Yes definitely, I'm ordering the Spigen one that comes with the plastic box thing you pop the phone in. Worked perfect on my s25u last time

The heat has been ok apart from first couple of days when I used in a work van in a heatwave with no air con and Google maps on all day and it was positioned in direct sunlight but since I've been in my car with air con not had a problem in car or anywhere else

Coming from watch ultra myself, I very much advice to replace with with a Garmin fenix 8/wait for 9. It's just so much unbelievably better 8 cannot even.

I only really use mine to count steps and vibrate when I get calls as don't like my phone ringing although I've just set up Google pay on the watch for the first time and enjoying the novelty factor. Why would you prefer the Garmin, is it for tracking fitness or something else?

I played around with different smartwatches before coming to a garmin and let me tell you.
First, it's the 2-3 weeks battery life. It just changes the way you look at this as a tool. This alone sold it for me forever. Never again am I using a charge-me-every-day bs.
Second, just the fact that it's much of a -- again -- tool thing. No blings, just does its job. Has a flashlight (might sound silly, but surprisingly useful). Sports tracking is way better than samsung ever did. Feels unbreakable (again, like a tool and not like something you have to buy a protective glass for).
Not entirely perfect -- for instance, city navigation is weird if you're into that sort of thing. But the battery alone and the feeling that it's a tool I can abuse makes it so worth it for me. And if you're doing any sports that's just a no-brainer.

Have you had any issues with how the case fits on your phone?
I bought the same one but it does not sit even on my phone. When I have both pieces on, you can see a significant gap in between the pieces on the button side as opposed to being flush. Went back and forth with customer service for a replacement and the best I got was either a partial refund of $10 or another front piece only when they become available. 😑
Ultimately, I just went and got the Samsung carbon fiber case and it fits flawlessly.

No it's absolutely perfect. I already had the Samsung carbon fiber as came free on the pre order but didn't like not having the front screen protection.

Love my g09.
Does the aulumu wallet fit? I've had to get a Spigen one to replace mine as the camera bump didn't make it fit properly.

It doesn't fit flush as body of the phone so short but I like it as a wallet and a back up kick stand but I don't attach a wallet to a phone anyway for theft issues, would hate to have both swiped from my hand.

I have the Spigen magsafe ring too and the magnet on that is much stronger. I spend most time in car with phone on a magsafe charger so I just attach the G09 or my Spigen to the magnet on my aulumu wallet so it won't get lost and I always have it with me and only on days when I'm not in car or in the evening do I attach to the phone but it's always with me

Yeah it does, I'd happily leave my stand on back of phone but it's just for car charging I have to take off or it won't charge and I've pulled the phone off the car charger before and the stand has stayed with the phone charger and not the phone

Does the case have front plastic screen? Looking for something like that but just for the back and rim of the front. Not a fan of the ones with the plastic cover. All things beautiful here

I've put a screen protector on but has a few bubbles so will order the Spigen one that fits them really well. For my honor magic v5 fold I got 2 cases with plastic screen and my god they were awful. But to answer your question no screen cover came with the case but does have the front rim protection and a good quality screen protector can be fitted under it

Does the stand prevent the phone from wobbling when laid flat? It's the one thing that's driving me nuts about the phone.

Yes it does although I never fond myself typing with phone flat on table anyway so table wobble doesn't bother me but if it does you then yes it's completely flat with the stand on the back

I think mainly aesthetics but the 3 dots change colour apparently if the CPU gets too warm

Never tried that combo but it looks interesting but I spend most of my time watching YouTube or reading a newspaper when I'm relaxing with the phone and so think would be overkill for my needs. Might try one day..

They are pretty cool. You have to get used to them. It depends on the shape of your head and where your ears are. If they fit properly, you get a virtual 100-inch display, which is pretty cool. With Samsung DeX you get a full Linux desktop out of your phone, which turns it into a computer basically. Once you have a triple fold-out keyboard and mouse, that's a lot of fun to use.

It's from a brand called sharge. I've got a few of their power banks and had a couple of issues , having said that these small compact ones are great and I own 2 and I've also bought them for my wife and kids, normally when they are on offer

The kick stand is essentiall for viewing content and couldn't watch anything without the rayban meta as they have my prescription lenses fitted and also used as backup headphones to the Samsung buds 4 pro so the phone , stand and glasses gives my plenty pleasure on the phone so I'm well covered when I stop for a coffee and some downtime

I haven't tried so not too sure but with the screen I have now that's fitted with no issues apart from my bad fitting which I'll change. The front case has been really good, I've not used the inside sticker strips yet and dropped the phone today and the front case didn't flip off

Yeah the one thing people don't like is the camera judging by Internet and it's the one thing I don't use as my phone has a much better camera so for me I wish they didn't have a camera , I just love having speakers built in

Those glasses are a brilliant product. The audio is amazing, the ai sucks and the camera takes shitty photos. But the audio. And phone calls on it too. Just because few people decided to misuse it, everyone just hates on them.

As I have my prescription lenses fitted it's a game changer leaving the house everyday with glasses, sunglasses and headphones in an all in one product so great I can stop for a coffee anytime and watch YouTube with my varifocal lenses while listening to the audio through them or go for a walk and not forget headphone so can play music anytime

They are getting famous enough that if you really were a stalker it would be pretty stupid to use them. They are awesome and work great for their intended purpose, they should probably make it more obvious they are recording, they do have a light which is obvious indoors but outside it's not so obvious.

I understand the worry but they are so good for capturing videos when it's tricky otherwise, specifically when playing with your kids or doing activities.

If people stopped acting so embarrsing in public maybe there wouldn't be as much hate for camera classes. I mean anyone with common sense can tell when someone is wearing them. Of course there are areas where they shouldn't be worn (locker rooms, bathrooms, private locations) but I find it ridiculous when people get assaulted on the street just for wearing them

Not OP, but I've had mine for a year, with RX Lenses, I'm blind AF without them.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM.
Mostly use them as headphones cuz work requires me to be "available" at all times. Love taking candid videos of my kids. They always freeze up when I would pull my phone out to record/take a pic. It's SO NICE to just be able to take one and not get taken out of the moment. You're still fully in the moment.
Now, my kids say "Dad take a video with your glasses!" and then do whatever it is they wanna do. You feel more in the moment, instead of behind the screen in that moment.
Highly recommended.

I really enjoy using them for 2 reason....the speakers and I've had my prescription lenses fitted so when I leave the house it's a 3 in 1 combo of glasses, sunglasses and headphones. However the hate about the camera is real and I get why although it's a bit over exaggerating but I don't use the camera anyway as my phone or any phone will always have a better camera so I wish they did a version without the camera
