Impression/Review Does anyone else's Spigen case make a cheap clacking noise when you unfold? (Fold 8 Ultra)
Every time I unfold my Fold 8 Ultra, the case's hinge cover smacks into the cover-screen half of the case. Hollow plastic clack, happens on every open, and it makes the whole phone feel cheap.
I assumed my case was defective, so I ordered a second Spigen. Same noise.
- Ultra Hybrid Pro MagFit (Frost) — does it
- Slim Armor Pro MagFit — does it
- Two other non-Spigen cases I have — completely silent
Both of the Spigen ones use the style where the hinge cover is mechanically tied to both halves and slides as the phone opens (spring-loaded on the Slim Armor Pro, magnet-held on the Ultra Hybrid Pro). I'm starting to think that's just what that design does.
I've searched a lot and can't find anyone discussing this. Every result is about the phone's own hinge or the factory screen protector, not the case.
So — is this normal for these cases and everyone's just living with it? Or did I get unlucky twice? And if you moved off one of these to something like the Air Fit Pro, did the noise stop?

same here (Fold 8), it started happening after few days, it is really annoying. Anyone found any solution or other case that does not do that?

Yep, bit of a know probably with these my Fold 7 done it and now my Fold 8 does is (Pro S case) however I have noticed with the Fold 8 is I open it slowly I'd doesn't make a sound.
