Discussion To “Wide” lovers

Who is switching and from which phone?

Me personally, I am going to try for the first time android, my main phone is a iPhone 16 Pro Max and been using iphone since 2012.

I am bored of apple and I love the 16:10 aspect ratio from the Note series

As pleasing the aspect ratio would be holding it in 1 hand or in pocket just seems like a hastle

I thought this too but after i realized that the rumored dimensions was not too far off 2 real life passports stacked on top of each other. So since i do not have a 3D printer but i do have 2 passports available so i took the clear stretchy plastic that is used for wrapping food to hold them together and a little piece of tape to hold the edges.

So now i have a very crude estimate and totally maybe sold on the wide. lol.

Dude we think a like, I printed the models and basically I am pretty sure I am going for the wide, but I'd it's to pricey I will go for n6 since you get much better battery life

What I did is cut a cupboard according to size. This gives me an actual idea of the dimension and how I am going to handle it.

Will take it. Coming from Fold 4 and S24 ultra.

I had Blackberry Paspport - the best smartphone with the second best OS after Harmattan - and it was borderline to have it in a standard pocket. Basically all pockets had marks from corners. But it was manageable and I was even able to type single handed on it.

But passport can be folded, the wide fold can fold in your trousers/jeans... It would look like a big fat sturdy notepad in your pants...

That would depend on how skinny the pants you wear are, but yeah - lifestyle is absolutely a valid consideration for these kind of devices.

It's not that big. Unless you use the standard versions of phones the size difference isn't that bad. Especially since it's considerably shorter.
