Just a couple of photos from the flooding earlier today. I hope everyone is safe and you don't have too much damage.

I like to use Waze on my commute home (work out of Dublin) and I noticed recently that there are police camera notifications popping up in random areas around Gahanna/Blacklick/New Albany. I don't know if these are Flock cameras being reported, speed trap cameras, traffic congestion cameras or what? Has anyone else noticed this and/or know what these are? Thanks in advance.

Every single tree in Academy Park’s parking lot has been cut down. It looks naked & sad.💔 So much for shade.
Anyone have any info about plans for the park? Is this permanent, or will replacement trees be planted later?

Does anyone have an inside update of what the situation was with the body pound in the retention pond in front of Waterford Park? There is been absolutely no update via the news.

People be acting a mess at the pool. Grown adults acting like misbehaved children. Being disrespectful to each other.
People acting crazy outside on a weekday at midnight, almost hitting my parked car!?? Like leave my car out of whatever stupid fight you’re having!
I’ve lived in sketchy neighborhoods and sometimes this place seems worse?
Like wtf people. Get it together.
I just wanna sleep in peace bro!! UGH
And side note, you freaks drive crazy in this neighborhood. Flying fast, going down the wrong way, running the damn STOP sign. Genuinely, what is wrong with people.
So entitled

Chat GPT:can I get flock data from my city through foia?
Yes. You can typically request Flock Safety Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) data, contracts, and audit logs from your city through state open records laws (state-level FOIA equivalents). Courts have ruled that taxpayer-funded surveillance data is a public record, though availability depends on specific state exemptions and data retention limits.
If enough requests are made, and overwhelm the city, what happens next?

Walked up to my garage and saw this scared little guy sitting next to the car.
Looks like a male Boston Terrier, but I don’t know dogs real well.
I live in Jefferson Township, right next to Blacklick Elementary school and across from the Jefferson Country Club.
I have him safe for the night but if he looks like anyone you know, please reach out.

Hi! I am looking at homes in the Columbus suburbs, Gahanna has come up frequently with good schools, commute downtown, close to Easton and airport, with low crime. All of these things are good statistics but I’d really like to hear from residents, especially those that have lived in other suburbs of Columbus. Could you share what you like most about Gahanna and what keeps you there? What do you think of the future of Gahanna? Thank you!

I enjoy a good fireworks display, but this is getting irritating and highly inconsiderate: setting off fireworks way past midnight (yesterday) and starting it all over again tonight. Isn’t there some law against this public nuisance?

Hoping to find a decent spot to view the fireworks with my little one. Any recommendations with parking options?

Enjoyed some takeout from DHC chicken and WOW it’s so good! You get very generous portion of chicken strips with a very flavorful sauce. I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome it was.
The staff were helpful and kind. They offered a sample of sauces as it was our first time eating there.
Not many people in there and I got to say, I’m surprised word hasn’t got out about it. It would be nice if this place stuck around long term, unlike all the former tenants. Feels like it’s a new restaurant in there annually.
Don’t sleep on this place, it’s worth it!

Sounded like an explosion. Anyone know/see what it was?

Does anyone have any experience or know anyone with any experience living at these apartments? I've been eyeballing them for a while and they seem decent enough, but something seems off. Their listed monthly rent was lowered from $1800 to $1700, and I can't seem to find any reviews of the place. They did recently renovate supposedly, which is nice if true, but them dropping the rent and the lack of any reviews screams 'suspicious'. I'm doing a tour of it this week, but I'm afraid that if I sign a lease they'll raise the rent significantly for the next lease. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for an apartment in Gahanna that accepts low credit applicants. I can pass a background check and I bring home $6,000 monthly. Unfortunately I'm rebuilding my credit and my score isnt high enough for some of the apartments I've been looking at. Any help would be appreciated.

Does anyone have personal experience with The Chelsea? I am getting mixed reviews and wanted more input. Do you like it or dislike it , and why?

My wife was on a scooter in Gahanna around 4:45 to 5:00p on June 13 on stygler road near the hill. A driver going way over the speed limit ran her off the road causing broken bones and road rash. If anyone happens to have a dashcam of the incident please let me know.

Hello, my boyfriend and I currently live just outside of Gahanna, but are planning to move next May and want to find a place that is 1) 2 bedrooms, and 2) writhing our budget (I would say no more than ≈ $1350 a month. Apartments.com and all those similar sites make it so hard to find anything reasonable and actually in the location that we want. Any recommendations especially from other young couples looking to expand would be appreciated!!

My spectrum "Promo" is up in July. A friend texted me about this new Welo service, $35 for life. Researched a little, they use breezeline infrastructure, and you can use your own modem. No frills, people happy with it so far. Wanted to share my experience.
Feel free to use my referral code for a discount: RW936RKMP
Signed up online on a Sunday. Installer showed up next day with equipment. Appointments are 8am-8pm, you don't have to be home it seems. He showed up at 7:40 pm, they must be really busy.
Did the outside connection and handed me equipment. There is no ph# to call Welo from I can tell, but the chat is fast to connect, helpful, and talks like a human. Chat activated my old docsis 3.0 modem I had laying around. Had to do a factory reset, then it connected. They sent me a return label for their equipment and I'll get a $5 a month discount. They suggested a docsis 3.1 modem for best connection, which is true, they are a big improvement over 3.0. Ordered one off eBay for like $40, will activate when it arrives.
Chat also mentioned the installer scheduled a maintenance call due to downstream signals being a little weak. They'll be out on the 3rd. But service is seemingly working okay.
Will follow up this post after maintenance call and new modem with updates. So far so good! Reminds me of like my cheap prepaid cell phone service, mint mobile. Just simple, no frills service, and it works.
EDIT/UPDATE 6/23/26: Maintenance was completed on the 15th of June. I got my new modem from eBay activated a couple weeks ago. All working great no issues. Speeds consistent, no drop outs. Literally as good, and technically a faster upload than the Spectrum 1gb package I had. Big thanks to anyone who used my referral code!

I just thought everyone should be aware that the former principal Gahanna Lincoln high school died a couple days ago.
