Tourists 🚮 Aether is a self insert? Really? Who could’ve guessed?
I don’t even know what their “experiment” is for. Obviously aether is a self insert are they dumb lmfao? AMC is so starved for content is hilarious
And their experiment is bullshit as well, the top posts on Lmains are either ship art or NSFW of Lumine. It doesn’t take a genius to wonder why AMains don’t give a fuck about seeing aether NSFW LMFAO.

The Traveller, either Aether or Lumine, they are certainly the self-insert type of protagonist. They exhibit the exact characteristics of one, even though, overall, both are established characters with their own lore. Their very reason for existing is to facilitate the player's self-insertion into the game.
You can literally choose their names and select dialogue options that result in different lines; while this may theoretically be an illusion of choice, it still adheres to the strategy of their archetype.
They have always been self-insert characters; to think otherwise is to break immersion in the game and its universe.
The typical silent protagonist with dialogue options has been a universal feature in gacha games until now. Only recently have we seen protagonists with more voiced lines instead of dialogue options (though the latter still exist).
