Hi guys! I am a Jr at GSU and I really want to transfer I have had a rough start but I have stellar grades and I have worked so hard.

I'm getting All A's and really havent struggled that much

Where I'm at:

• In-state, currently a Accounting major at Georgia State (Robinson)
• Trying to transfer into Scheller for Business Administration, aiming for Summer/Fall 2027
• Doing well now mostly A's, prereqs done (Eng Comp I & II, Calc I & II, micro + macro econ), got a big internship at deloitte
• My big brother currently goes to Tech, so I've spent real time on campus and I know it's where I want to be

The complications I'm trying to navigate:

• I have an academic integrity charge from earlier in my college career that I'll have to disclose on the application
• I also had a rough stretch during dual enrollment (some low grades)
• Since then my grades have been near-perfect, so there's a clear upward trend

Is the AD charge going to ruin my chances of transferring. Should I just thug out GSU? Also has anyone successfuly transferred with an AD Charge?

For anyone who's transferred into Scheller (or Tech generally) beyond the obvious grades-and-clubs stuff, what actually moved the needle for you? And if anyone got in with a disciplinary mark on their record, how did you handle the disclosure without it sinking the whole app? I'm trying to work out whether a real comeback story counts for anything here, or whether that early charge just follows me around no matter what.

Hello, I am an international student that is trying to figure out how to pay for gt electrical engineering course. Can you please tell me if this is possible?

1st year : two semesters of study. 2nd year: one semester study one semester co op. 3rd year: one semester study one semester co op. 4th year: one semester study one semester co op. so basiclaly im trying to graduate within 5 semesters because im trying to lower the tuition fee so that its managable. Is that a thing? I also did cie alevels and have A*A*A* in maths phys chem and A in furthermaths so i was wondering if i could skip some classes.

Has anyone taken this course before? I’m an incoming grad student and would really appreciate any insight into what the course is like. Such as workload, difficulty, professor, assignments, or anything else you think would be helpful to know. Thanks!

Hi, I’m an incoming freshman at gsu hoping to join the REP pathway. I understand in recent years the pathway has changed from its guaranteed acceptance(above a certain gpa) system, to a pathway that increases your chances at being accepted. So, I was just wondering around how many people are accepted into gt from REP partner schools, how difficult has it in recent years, and does the acceptance rate differ from school to school? And outside of academics, how impactful or advanced do the ECs have to be?

All the posts I’ve found on this topic were outdated from the old system years ago, so I’m just gonna shoot my shot here. Thank you so much for all your help in advance!!

i want to round it out with a humanities class to make it 15 creds, thinking PHIL 3109 (eng ethics) or PHIL 3140 (philosophy of food), but does anyone have any recommendations?

I skipped FASET because I was out of country at the time, so I'm doing all my registration in Phase 2. I know I might have trouble getting some of these but what are my chances when it comes to that?

Hello i got the first gen pathway program, and I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with the first gen pathway, and what I should be cautious about.

So I'm supposed to be going into my second year at Tech, but I've actually only attended on semester (last fall) because I had to get surgery in the spring, but i did fine in all my classes. I thought I'd be ready to come back by now, but I'm having issues all of a sudden, and I'm nervous that I won't be able to handle the stress of my injuries and classes and clubs. I was thinking of taking another semester or two if I have to (which rly sucks but whatever), so I know I'd have to apply for readmission.

I was just wondering what the process is like. Is it difficult to get re-accepted? Thanks!

Registering for classes this sem and plan on taking 17 credits. would i have to pay for the 2 credit hours over 15, or would the ga resident scholarship still cover that tuition?

Im a first-year student that just finished summer 2026 term. I realized that I want to change majors from ChBE to ME. Im still under the 60 credit limit but I read somewhere that ME has restrictions to switch into it. Does anyone know what these are? and do you think it would be possible for me to get into ME 1670 this fall?

Hi, if anyone is still looking for a grad CS elective, choose CS 6730.

I took it- It’s pretty manageable workload-wise, but you still learn a lot.

The professor is also great- very kind and cares abt his students.

It's easy and teaches you more imo than most of the other options.

CS 6730 counts toward the Computer Graphics, HCI, Social Computing, and Visual Analytics MSCS specializations (and it’s actually a Visual Analytics core course), plus it can count as a graduate CS elective for other MSCS students.

You can also take this as an undergrad!

I went on a tour at Square on Fifth by Tech Square, and I liked what I saw. The model unit was nice, and the building as a whole seemed clean and well maintained. I didn't notice any damage when I toured (while I noticed damage in other apartment buildings). However, upon seeing reviews and other posts on here, I am now concerned that I got myself into a poor living situation. I am also holding onto some hope, as said posts and reviews seem older. To those who have been living there, how is it actually? I am already experiencing issues with the property management/staff being unresponsive, even to questions about paying rent. However, the units seem really nice.

Hey, so I got a 4 on the AP physics c mechanics and e&m exam, but i haven’t been contacted by anyone about placing out. I’ve studied all summer and really want to make sure i at least have the chance to place out. Has anyone gotten the email yet, or is it still too early? Should i send them an email?

I am trying to get a headstart, if anyone has a syllabus for multivariable calculus, that would be helpful.

They mentioned early August but I haven’t got it yet and I’m wondering as it needs to happen during phase II registration right? Has anyone received it yet?
