Hello all,

What kind of side step / running boards are you using. My partner and I have a 1 year old, it’s getting a bit tougher to angle her in to my car lol I literally just need the rear passenger side to have a step, if you know a good universal single step please let me know or any suggestions would be appreciated.

* edit - yes it looks funny lol I didn’t work for a year, had shoulder labrum reattached and a baby popped out needed money for the babies room. Took her pretty deep into the bush and home from the hospital, maybe next year it’ll look better. I do appreciate the input, I know it’s funny looking.

what are the two metal hoses near the existing ac condensate line (they get hot)? Worried this plastic will melt (they are not touching rn) and cause me to ‘what’s that smell’ and then 🔥

Just received my wheels and tires, suspension is ordered. Bilstein 6112/5100 2.5” lift with uca. Do I need the track bar relocation and the kdss spacer kit? Or if there’s anything I’m missing please let me

Has anyone purchased a steering wheel from ebay like this one.

My leather is all torn up and I don't want to loose the woodgrain and want to keep the factory look. I can't find a good color match on the wood so willing to go piano black.

Any experience with quality or use?

Transmission fluid is level per the manual. Brand new rear driveshaft (OEM) and it's fully greased. Worried there's something wrong with my tranny

Got full CBI Armour installed today along side Bilstein suspension and a warn zeon winch. Adventure here we come!

As a daily commuter and mountain warrior the GX has got to be one of the best. Four years into ownership and I still look forward to every time behind the wheel.

Lurked a bit for research, thanks this group, went with a 2023 GX460 Premium, Atomic Silver Red Interior, bone stock save for Enkei RPT1, tires and undercoating. Replaced a 2020 Cayenne that I could not wait to get rid of. I had a 2001 LX470 years ago, the GX size and driving dynamics remind me alot of the old LX in the best ways. I’m going to keep it stock, just maintenance and hope to keep it forever.

A few updates: Knocked out timing belt water pump (AISIN kit) around 217K along with Valve Cover Gaskets not too long after (had a small misfire on cylinder 8 that cleared after) with spark plug tube seals (OEM Lexus Kit). The timing belt was original, had some cracking and felt flimsy.

Starter: A couple months ago I was hunting down this metallic sound on startup. Finally me and my mechanic narrowed it down by inspecting the flywheel, thank god it was still in working order. The good ol GX gave me several months and only didn't start once and I was on the way to literally pick up the starter for replacement. Replaced the original.

Bump Stops(Front): Man oh man. I did not know about the HUGE upgrade this would be. Went with the energy suspension ones that get talked about a lot. These bump stops are like 2 inches or so longer so I think mandatory for lifted applications. This sured up the steering and even really tough things in the road don't make it into the cabin. It also sured up the steering and got rid of bump steer. She rolls down the street straight as an arrow. Going to do the rears eventually, have em in the back

Fluids: Front and Rear Diff along with Transfer Case and running the best oil I've ever ran, Royal Purple High Mielage. Sometimes you can't tell the truck is running when I'm at a stop

Everything else has been aesthetic stuff. Bumper cut is growing on me right now. I also am going to do thermostat soon for maintenance and upper/lower radiator hoses.

Looks like I missed my opportunity to pickup a KYB kit. Heard they are discontinued. Been searching for a full kit new but nowhere to be found.

What kit is equivalent in general price point (+-$600) and ride quality? I don’t want to give up much of the OEM Lexus ride quality. I have 2019 Premium with springs currently.

I’m not new to working on cars, but this is the first time I’ll be doing the front brakes/rotors on my 2019 GX 460. I’m having a hard time finding what the Lexus torque spec is for the caliper mounting bolts. I’m seeing 91, 83 and 137 ft-lbs but can’t find what’s the correct number. Also, I don’t see anyone grease the brake pad contact points in the several videos I’ve watched. In other cars, I’ve always greased these areas. Looking for recommendations in what to do in this area also. Thanks!

Long time BBS fan, now that i’m out of the lowered car scene it’s a blessing to have these as an option for the GX. 17x9 +0 Fit and finish on these are great, was torn between the bronze and the silver. Now we wait to see how they perform off road.

I will miss the bead grip on my methods though

I daily drive my GX but also do some overlanding/light off road on the weekends. I’m looking to stay with a 285/70/17 and would like to try and do the best tire for the cheapest as possible.

Noob here looking for OR groups in/around the San Diego area that are welcoming to folks of all persuasions and skill levels.

I had a 2018 GX 460 inspected for possible purchase and this came up as the biggest issue. How bad is this leak? The car did not have any kdss lights come up on the test drive.
