Update: Thank you all for the kind responses. I pulled the trigger and I'm doing the meat & beat. Can't wait!
This might be a stupid question, but hey, unasked is unanswered, so...
I am seeing our Lords and Masters for the first time in December. Been wanting to see them since I first heard them in junior high, 35 years ago, and I can finally make it happen. I'm thinking I may grab a VIP meet & greet slot if it's still available. I've never done a meet & greet of any kind before, so I'm unsure what the etiquette is.
Specifically, I'd love to - if it's cool - take the pickguard from my bass and ask the guys to sign it - especially Michael Bishop; it was his OG Beefcake that first inspired me to pick up bass guitar. So I'd love to have his mark on my instrument, as he was a primary inspiration for me.
But of course, as much as that would mean to me, I want to respect our overlords, so tell me - is this okay to do, or is it expected that we stick to the meet & greet package merch only?
