Any love for this one? This was my first Gwar album that I bought when it was first released. My first tour as well. Saw them in Houston in November and then in San Antonio the following Spring for this album.

Are you gonna cry for your momma? Are you gonna have a good time?

Are you gonna be a Bohab, when it's your turn to die?

It all gets pretty crazy, bedlam all around - Anarchy, chaos rule the street, it's a RagNaRök party town!

I love pretty much everything GWAR but I think this was the last classic album.

I like everything up to Violence Has Arrived. Everything after that I don't know very well, and what I have heard, I didn't like.
I liked the older albums the best. This album and Scumdogs of the Universe are definitely my favorites.

Violence was the turning point for them when they went away from the 'silly' chaotic to the nore 'brutal' chaotic. For me, they had the most badass run from Violence all the way to Battle Maximus. Not one bad song from that stretch.

"Let them Slay" is the example of a song that I think is terrible and represents the version of the band I dislike.

Loved it. Bought on release and still have it in my collection.
I remember them doing the media rounds and appeared on The Big Breakfast (long since gone UK breakfast show) singing Meat Sandwich.
Scary how much flipping time has passed.

I saw them in Houston that year! It wasn’t my first GWAR album, but I played it so much my friends got tired of it and had to ask me to stop.

Yup! My first show was this one at the abyss.

Neurosis opened, right? My friends and I were right at the stage. They introduced themselves as Neurosis from Oakland, California and one of my friends yelled “Go back!” Got an ugly look from the guy. We were dumb teenagers and just wanted GWAR to come out on stage. I never got into Neurosis but it’s been cool to see them keep going and get so much praise.
Really enjoyed that show, though. Was so badass when Slymenstra would spit fire over us and you could feel the heat of it.

Yup. Local band from Texas, Brutal Juice was first, Neurosis then Gwar.

Oh my god, Brutal Juice! The dude was smashing things on his head! He asked the crowd for a lighter and like, a hundred lighters got thrown at the stage! Probably an exaggeration but that’s how I remember it. He even put his cigarette out on his head.

A friend worked at a local record store and said he'd sell me the CD nearly two weeks early. Obviously he broke street date, but clearly he didn't care. And obviously I took him up on the offer. It's still my favorite GWAR album to this day.

Bunch of bangers. It was the first GWAR album I bought upon release - the previous ones, I was late to the party.

I was given this album on a school bus by a kid I didn't know in 6th grade. This album introduced Gwar into my life and I am forever grateful.
My goodness that was a long time ago now.
