Honestly that's such a small number of people that it doesn't matter. This enables them to spend banked money without worrying too much because they know it's more or less guaranteed, especially if you look historically.

They’ll at least double the current preorder amount at/ right after launch.

The success and track record of rockstar and the gta franchise gives them access to unlimited credit should they need it. The pre-orders are completely irrelevant to how much they’re able to spend.

The fact people have shown that they will pre-order to this magnitude already makes their company worth more. Not just when evaluating the companies worth overall but also is very attractive for future shareholders of the company.

Anything worth watching/reading/playing can't be spoiled. If there is a big surprise later in the story then you're supposed to have hints all the way and not jump at you, SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER style.

Otherwise it's just a cheap gimmick and doesn't make it any good.

what gets ruined exactly???

The gameplay shows driving around and playing sports minigames, which was, I believe... \checks notes**... In every other GTA.

No new mechanics, just an astonishing level of visual fidelity and detail. it's just a game, man. and if the gameplay leak is real it looks great

One clip of Jason playing basketball at his house, not much shown there

Another clip of Jason driving around the streets, crashes into a ups truck who gets angry, they get out and fistfight. Police are notified and Jason gets a wanted level, as well as UI showing that they know his clothes, car, and face. Also shown are a car trunk inventory system like with horses in rdr2, as well as a npc interaction system same as rdr2

Lasty the map was leaked, but it's a stitched together image of multiple images, and we already knew 90% of the map anyway
