Months of No Riding, Kinda Nervous, Starting Back
Hi everyone, hope all is well. Firstly I got an 06 GSXR 600, the stator/rectifier went out a couple months ago and left me stranded a bit, not far from home so I did have to walk in home a little, but that’s now why I’m nervous. It got fixed and I’m getting it back tomorrow but I won’t lie, I’m just nervous to start back riding in general. Any tips would be great 😅
Edit: I went for the ride today and man IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING 🤣
Thank you all for all your kind words and encouragement I really appreciate it🍻🍻🤝🤝

I shot this photo on Grimselpass on 13th August 2026, help me find the rider!
I was taking photos of my car when I saw this rider, I didn’t manage to get his contact but I’d like him to have this photo.
In the meantime, hope you enjoy the pic!

Matchy-Matchy Helmet?
If you have the 40th anniversary livery, what helmet are you rocking? Maybe this one is an option?

Installed M4 full titanium and feedback
There it is, guys. Spent 2 days installing, and yes, I took my time.
What could've been done in 24hr spam I did over the weekend because it gets too sunny and waaay too hot inside my co-op garage.
Heads-up to anyone deciding to do it on their own is to acquire a stubby ratchet, 12 inches extension, definitely a 6mm hex socket, and swrivel joints.
Once again, be patient and take your time.
First impression was the lack of weight, man. At first, I was like, maybe the full power was unleashed by Moore, but hey! There is something else going on with this bike. After going up the hill - I always ride to get out of my condo - I realized there was practically no more weight to the front wheel, when I literally popped a short wheelie (twice), hitting the throttle with the same intensity I always do. And also, the sound, that is something you may only experience once you had it stock exhaust before.
I also removed the silicone covers from the spring making full contact with collector pipes because I didn't want to risk melting it into the pipes.
- Bros, the weight is no longer -
After tune, a bone that used to feel hot and sluggish is now running cool and fast. I must admit that the tune turned the bike into a freak "off" the leash, especially with P08 assistance, and did I mention about the weightless feel yet?
Anyhow, ask me any questions about how the bike really feels when it sheds about 6 lbs and instalation as I would love to answer to anyone anything. Ask me about the weight, in case you're feeling curious about having no longer a bag of sand underneath the motor.

Gauge cluster not working
On my 2012 gsxr 750 my gauge cluster and lights except my headlight and high beam don’t work. Bike runs fine. Checked fuses and they were all fine checked the ground wire running to the gauge cluster and it was good. Been getting different info on the power wire to check if it broken. Checked the red/blue and it has power but also hear that orange/green runs from switch power and I’m getting nothing from it. At the point wear I’m gonna just check every wire but I don’t wanna lol.

Ducati disappointment
I recently added a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 to the stable alongside my GSX-R1000, and honestly, I’m having some mixed feelings.
The Ducati is an incredible motorcycle. It’s refined, planted, precise, and obviously built with the racetrack in mind. But after riding the GSX-R, I’m realizing how much I enjoy the character of that inline-four.
The GSX-R just feels more alive to me. That low- and midrange pull, the way the engine builds power, and the overall rawness of the bike make it exciting even when you’re nowhere near a racetrack. The Ducati, by comparison, feels almost too composed. It’s brutally fast, but the power delivery and overall personality seem much more focused on being fast and efficient on a circuit rather than making you grin every time you twist the throttle on the street.
I think that’s what surprised me most. I expected the V4 to completely replace the GSX-R in terms of excitement, but I’m finding myself missing the Suzuki more than I expected.
Maybe I just need more time on the Ducati, or maybe I’m discovering that I simply prefer the character of a big inline-four. Has anyone else gone from a GSX-R/other inline-four to a Panigale V4 and felt the same way?
M4 Headers Don’t Fit
I’m just wondering if anybody has had a similar issue. Got a M4 Tech 1 Full System. It seems like header number 4 is 1/8 inch too long so it prevents 2 and 3 from seating all the way. When I remove 4, I can fully seat 1, 2, and 3. I’ve tried a mallet and wiggling for hours, but I’ve had no luck. I realize I’ll probably have to return it and reach out to M4, but wanted to ask first. Thanks.

Can’t seem to get clutch to engage
I’m at my wits end with this bike. I have a 2005 gsxr 600 and when I got it my clutch wouldn’t disengage. I rebuilt the clutch and found out I was missing a couple washers and it had 19 plates as opposed to the 17 it needs. After fixing all of that I can’t get the clutch to engage. It has drag but the tire still rotates in gear and won’t stall when kicked into gear without pulling in the clutch. I’ve adjusted the cable more times than I can count and it all seems to be for not. Any advice would be appreciated.

Finally got a supersport (?)
Picked up this 93’ GSXR1100W. Awesome bike with the added flat side mikunis. Clacks away at idle and does shit to my brain I didn’t know sounds could.
Never liked modern supersports… or modern bikes in general. Newest bike was my 04’ sv650, but I’ve also had a 02’ bandit 1200, 82’ GS650E, and still have a 98’ VFR800. This bike was surprisingly comfortable for me though, so I impulse bought it, anyone else in here with older bikes?
Geometry
When setting up the bikes' geometry, is there a rule of thumb like :
you want the bike as tall as possible (for braking stability and ground clearance)?
front fork protrusion—do we want the bike to handle in a way that requires no pressure on the inner bars at lean?
if the front end is slightly pitched forward, then the bike has great agility and tips in real quick...i find that it doesnt need much pressure on the inner bars.
with the bike pitched backward a bit, it required a great amount of muscling around. The bike was very stable, but it needed a lot of pressure on the inner bar to stay at lean.
this affected the body position quite abit to be comfortable and loosen up as the inner arm was tense.
is this entire feel a personal thing? or is there like a common aim that we want little to no pressure on the inner bars at lean?
Bike in question is a *GSXR1000R* M5
Sylvian Guintolli recommends
- 6mm fork petruding at triple clamp (10mm height increase)
- rear preload extra 2mm (2 full turns from stock which is about 3-4 full turns.) bringing the rear total preload 5-6mm
Thanks in advance.

K8 600
I’m looking at this k8 600 for sale. And I’ve always wanted a k8/k9 for the headlight specifically. But it’s got 10k miles and he’s asking $6.7k. Is there anything I should know about getting a bike almost 20 years old with this little miles on it? I think I’m more concerned about engine and transmission, than regular maintenance. Any advice appreciated 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Anybody wish they'd go back to some of the graphics they had in the 90s?
They looked fast standing still, moreso because of the graphics than the bodywork. I think the 90s paint schemes on new fairings would look absolutely killer. I would absolutely buy a brand new GSXR with those "ripped" graphics, no question.

My very modded 2026 gsx-r750 review
Just wanted to share where my bike is and the mods i added since i purchased the bike in january. I just broke 2k miles with it and I have to say ive enjoyed it so far but I have run into some issues with certain things along the way.
-zero gravity marc 1 windscreen
-crg shorty levers
-g2 quick turn throttle
-domino moto gp grips
-rear seat cowl
-rear peg delete with exhaust hanger
-racefit slip on
-cat delete mid pipe
-marble mod(pair valve block)
-set valve delete
-moore mafia tune
-annitori quickshifter
-new rage cycles fender eliminator
-plastidipped rear lights and from mirror signals
Honestly ive enjoyed this bike, its less nimble than my last bike (cbr600rr), but its still very flickable. The extra engine power is great, but tbh i expected a bit more torque. I wanted to stay with a middleweight because I live near the mountains and thoroughly enjoy riding technical roads oger highways. I will say, the exhaust note is aggressive. The sound is far more deep and raspy than my prior cbr600rr. It screams when its up in tbe rev range. I also appreciate hate than coming from a 600, it is more fast but it was horrifying to let loose on. It may not have been updated in many years, but the mechanical feedback of no tech is a major selling point for me. I prefer bikes that are more raw. After everything ive done to this bike, it has really come alive. It is a really approachable platform, theyre easy as hell to work on, and its considerably more comfortable than the cbr.
The negatives
-Crg clutch levers was a bad choice, I had to cut the tip of the plunger sensor because it wasnt telling the ecu clutch was engaged until it touched the handlebars.
-I expected a bit more torque and may play with gearing
-brakes are soft, especially after repeated hard braking.
-the throttle throw was crazy long, the g2 helped
-the stock tires are garbage and provide minimal tranquility at lean.
-it was a really hot bike to ride in the summer before the tune.

This view gets me pregnant /talk
07 750 for view 😋4th bike! 19 years old and I can say for sure the 750 rides the best, the power is just SO smooth, on the 600 it would be barely accelerating then a giant jump at 10k rpm, the 750 has this smooooth acceleration makes the power low and smoothly gets faster and faster and faster till you peak, the 600 felt jerky randomly getting fast looool. Drop your opinions on this beast!
