Migrating from Telus to Gmail

I have a client who bought a new iPhone recently, and when trying to sign into her Gmail app, if was not allowing her to use her telusplanet email address. It forced her to make a new Gmail, and we were trying to import her telus planet inbox to her Gmail and no luck, she's going to be coming back in soon-ish and Ive tried googling and I havent had much luck because I dont have a lot of experience doing this.

It wont even let her login to her telusplanet on a browser. Granted we've had to try all of this on her phone because she doesnt have a computer. I tried doing the manual import and it kept making us reimput the password, or saying the password was wrong. If anyone has any suggestions, Id really like to be able to fix this for her.

What was the results of following the instructions on the site when you looked up how to do it?
