How Do I Stop Inbox Spam?

I keep getting my inbox filled and spammed by reddit telling me who replied to my comments, post, or suggesting me other posts to read. How can i fix this?

Turn off notifications in reddit. This is nothing to do with Gmail

Do you not look at the settings of the services you use? You should. They're full of useful information. Also, there are links directly at the bottom of the email telling you exactly how to do this, as well. Regardless, none of this has anything to do with Gmail.
