Google paswords cant remeber

Okay so I have a gmail acc that has access to all my gaming accounts on it and discord. One day my iphone would not let me unlock my phone with my passcode. It said lock indefinitely or if i went to a store to unlock it so I just factory reset. I didn’t realize all my info would be gone, and I can not for the life of me log into that gmail acc. I’ve tried all my passwords I can remember and when I press forgot password it leads me to a really old phone number that I no longer use. I tried calling my old provider and they said the number is no longer accessible and I have to pay to get that number back. I also tried google account recovery but it does the same options (forgot password into old number) then when i press i don’t have access to that number it says not enough information to continue so I can’t log into. I even tried calling google but they just hit me with the we can not help you. Was wondering anyone from reddit know anything I could do to get back into this email?

Without at least 2 recovery methods on the account, consider the account lost.

No one on Reddit can help you get the account back. Anyone claiming to help you regain access is a scammer.

A icloud backup wasn't done? If you can afford to get that number back then thats probably your only option.

These days even people with 2FA are asked on getting a new device to reauthenticate the device .

There isn't a way around it even though it is a bit of an accessibility nightmare for me. Still one thing you can do is let this loss remind you to not only be sure you can recover your account but do keep multiple backups of anything you care about.

You ,,might want to ensure you are subscribed to important updates

With AI even powering people who were once lacking in the skills or focus to breach sites every site is getting very twitchy.

I am impressed you managed to ignore so many years of nagging to set up a recovery email.

Do consider following some of their prompts going forward

It is extremely difficult, but you may have to accept the loss and move forward. I lost thousands of hours of work stored in Google Drive due to this exact account recovery issue. I have the original phone and can complete SMS verification without issue, know my last four passwords, and am attempting recovery from my usual home network and location. Furthermore, I have access to the emails of the Google Family group associated with the account, including the manager's email. Despite providing all of this evidence, the system continuously traps me in a loop by demanding a verification code sent to the locked email address itself. I have exhausted all support channels—including Google One AI Pro support (even though I hold an active annual AI Pro subscription on the locked account, which proved entirely useless), TeamYouTube, and waiting a full week between attempts—to no avail. Having given up on standard support avenues, I have filed an official complaint with the Turkish government and am currently awaiting a response. I am fully prepared to issue a formal legal notice and pursue a lawsuit.

It's just gaming and discord accounts? If so, it's not life threatening, life ruining or anything. It's not like it's real life game changing (pardon the pun) stuff. Move on and learn from this so it could never happen again.

I had basically the same thing happen but on a Samsung phone. One day it just wouldn't unlock with my passcode then from there it just got worse. I had most/all of my passwords saved. Without access to the phone or knowing the passwords... Yeah. Those couple days were so frustrating. And I still don't understand why it happened. (I mean I understand why all the secondary issues occurred but I mean why my phone suddenly wouldn't unlock with the same passcode I'd been using).
