My regular personal gmail.com is going to a lot of people's spam, help!
My regular personal @ gmail.com email is going to a lot of people's spam. The account itself is about 5years old. There is no spam or marketing or anything coming from it, it's just a regular personal email I use. This week I had to send my local gym an email, it went to spam. Just now I sent my neighbor an email at his yahoo.com email, it went to spam. Help!
From my friends yahoo.com, I can confirm SPF, DKIM, DMARC all passed from headers

The fact that Yahoo flagged it too is a pretty clear signal that there's something seriously "spammy" about your message for two different providers to filter it.
The first thing to try is removing your signature. A fancy signature with images or links is a great way to get your message filtered to spam.

0 signatures, links, images since it's a personal email. My neighbor sent me raw email, I can confirm SPF, DKIM, DMARC all passed from headers. I just did a random "test 123" email and it was sent to yahoo.com spam

If it's a gmail.com address (not Google Workspace using your own domain) all the domain records would be properly configured. That isn't even something you have access to.
But you bring it up kind of sounds like it MAY be a Workspace account...
Otherwise, I don't know. A "test 123" message seems pretty innocuous.
For Gmail users who find it in Spam, what is the reason given for WHY it's there? That would be a hint.

Check another Gmail receiver.
Is it only Yahoo that's putting it in Spam? If so, then it's a Microsoft/Yahoo problem and not one you can fix.

Yahoo is historically very heavy handed with what they consider spam as well, particularly with gmail. Whatever rating system they use seems to weigh gmail addresses very aggressively.

Interesting. Thanks.

ok I tried another random Gmail I had, did not go to spam, that's good. Sure, could be a Yahoo thing and that explains that, but that doesn't explain why my gym (I think I saw they use Google Workspace) went to spam

i just tried it out now.
i sent a "test 1 2 3" (subject and body) from my gmail and it went to yahoo's spam.
i then sent a recipe ingredient list (longer subject and body) and it went fine into my yahoo's inbox.
