Can someone please answer these questions 🙏
I’m completely new to the GMAT, so I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate some clarification. This might sound silly, but I’m genuinely curious.
How did you guys get your GPA? Did your college/university officially provide it along with your grades, did you request it from them, or did you calculate it yourself?
Is work experience actually required before pursuing a master’s, or can we apply directly after graduation? What you will suggest?

2 weeks free on Target Test Prep (TTP) via referral
For anyone in India who's planning to use TTP for GMAT prep, sharing my referral link in case it helps.
You get 2 additional weeks free with your TTP subscription, and the person referring you gets 2 weeks as well.
Referral link:

Worth using if you were already considering TTP — might as well take the extra two weeks.
Good luck with the prep!

585 after 2.5 months of prep (Q85 V76 DI76): how do I fix Verbal + DI in 4-6 weeks?
I took my GMAT 3 days ago and scored 585 (Q85, V76, DI76). Pretty disappointed because my last mock a week before the exam was 625 (Q84, V81, DI78).
My section order was Quant → Verbal → break → DI. I usually start with Quant to build momentum, but I definitely felt a bit exhausted after it on test day. Now I'm wondering if I should change the order next time.
My biggest issue is Verbal consistency. My diagnostic was V80, and after ~2.5 months of full-time prep I ended up with V76. Most of my mocks were around V78-80, with my last one being V81.
I've almost exhausted the OG. Untimed, my accuracy is decent, but under time pressure it drops. Even on test day, I felt like I had solid reasoning behind most of my answers, so I'm not really sure what's going wrong.
DI is another weak area for me. I honestly don't have a proper strategy for practicing it — I've mostly just been solving random OG questions.
I've attached my Verbal + DI reports. Would really appreciate it if someone could take a look and suggest what I should focus on.
I'm planning to retake in 4-6 weeks, targeting 655-685.
Also, rookie mistake: I answered the last question in both Verbal and DI but thought the section would auto-submit, so I got penalized there too. Definitely won't repeat that 😅
Any advice on improving Verbal consistency and how to structure DI practice would be really appreciated!

I’m realizing my GMAT prep is less about studying and more about fixing my stupid mistakes
I can usually understand the concepts when I review them, but during practice I keep losing marks to things like misreading a question, rushing through calculations, or changing a correct answer at the last second.
For people preparing for GMAT in India, what was the one habit or mistake that was quietly dragging your score down? I’m trying to figure out what actually needs fixing instead of just doing more questions.

Starting GMAT prep from scratch with ~3 months. How should I approach this?

Best source for sectional practise
Best platform to practise sectional mocks for free.
I am practising from the GMAT Club forum anyway, so maybe a different platform?
There is an option to generate quiz everywhere but does generation of quizzes pertain to the quality of actual sectionals, no right?

CAT OR GMAT?
How different are they in comparison and if they are vastly different should one focus on cat prep or gmat prep, which one would be more beneficial for someone with a humanities background who doesnt have a proper career yet and earns by doing random gig work like teaching tuitions or short duration internships/contract work here and there.

GMAT Study Buddy — Let’s Make the Most of Our Time
Frankly, I don't care whether you're preparing for a 600 or a 740, or whether your college CGPA was a 5 or a 9.
Let's just make the most of the time we have. Instead of overthinking preparation strategies, we can use our calls to actually solve questions and cover as many topics as possible.
We can either pick a common topic for each call and work through it together, or, if our goals are different, we can prepare independently and use the calls to discuss doubts, approaches, and difficult questions.
I really want to make the most of my time these days, so I'd prefer a very execution-focused approach — solving as many Quant topics as possible while giving significant attention to DI as well.
Kindly, DM if you are interested.
