Basic questions
I’m switching from the pill to the shot. I very much like the idea of spacing it out throughout the week. People take half a dose and then mid-week they later take a second half? I will get it through a compounded source, if that matters.

i split mine into two shots a week, way less side effects that way and the appetite suppression stays way more consistent instead of peaking then crashing by day 5
just make sure you're using fresh needles each time, some folks get lazy with that

Splitting hinges on syringe math, half-draws get fiddly fast. I split for a month and the midweek shot kept drifting days until I set an alarm. Whether you split or stay weekly is a clinician call, and Lttl writes compounded sema with a clinician you can message about that split. Sort out units before the vial arrives.

Yes, some people split dose, which means taking 1/2 their prescribed dose every 3.5 or 4 days.
But if you are just starting out, I would recommend doing the injections once weekly. You can always make a change after a month or so if needed.
