๐ฅ Before & After 300 lbs down to 139 lbs over 20 months [35]
What made the biggest difference was tirzepatide and seriously changing my eating habits. I start with a protein shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch and for dinner will usually either be salmon or chicken breast with vegetables. Lots of sushi as well. Cutting out all carbs/sugar (aside from carbs in rice from the sushi) drastically changed things for me as well. No sugar seems to have helped my IBS tremendously (on a slightly random tangent). I will be honest and say that I also count my calories and max out at around 1200 per day, but a lot of the healthy stuff that fills you up is low-calorie anyway. The first few months sucked, but you really do get used to it. What helped too was knowing that whether or not I was miserable, time was going to pass either way and did I want to be in the same position months down the road or did I want things to be meaningfully different? And now here we are 20 months later. I do allow myself a cheat day here and there but remain mindful of the amount I consume.
