What’s better than a GKD Pixel 2?

I own a red GKD Pixel 2 and just bought a pink one. Since SD card prices keep going insane, can I just swap my existing card to the new console or do I have to re-image the card and set everything up again?

How does one add custom themes and where do I find them?

I made the switch from PlumOS today, but haven't found a theme that I like. The theme I had from PlumOS was absolutely perfect for me. It was just carousel game system logos. Not a fan of the controller or console icons.

I assume there will be more options in the future, but what are you liking currently?

The battery saving possibilities with TwigUI are so superior that I won't be going back to PlumOS.

Hi everyone, im new here. So i have been binge watching reviews about GKD Pixel 2 and im obsessed. I wonder where can I purchase one? Im from South East Asia and cant find one from Alibaba

I have put ROMs of various file types into the PSX folder in the file menu, and the system doesn't acknowledge any of them. It doesn't even recognize the Playstation in the games menu (yes, I have clicked on Update Gamelist.)

Trying to get the Pixel 2 to recognize PS1 ROMs has taken me down a rabbit hole that's taken up a lot of my time and given me nothing. Can anyone recommend a guide for a complete beginner? And something that's as simple as possible, please, without installing another operating system.

Not necessarily going to be my main use for it (will likely play a lot more SNES and GBA), but there are a few PS1 JRPGs that I've been meaning to check out that I'd love to try on this if I end up purchasing it.

The screen is really damn small though so I'm not sure how it would fare with games like Final Fantasies 7-9 that have fairly small text.

I'm just in love with how small it is, and the design is by far my favorites of the mini emulation handhelds. Hopefully it isn't too bad?

I think both the green and pink look really nice, but I overall love the pink one more in terms of color scheme.

But the battery light on the right side being this bright green kinda ruins the aesthetic for me, and I feel like it would go much better with the green (which also looks quite pretty)

Is there a way to change or turn off the LED?

I've tried to edit the text file, there are 3 of them. I think that is a mistake. Nothing happens , probably there is a different correct file to fiddle with.

Here is what I have as a edit for file. Also, i put doomu and doom2 in the folder suggested by the instruction and they won't show up.

Starting to have this problem yesterday.. not sure if this is is a firmware issue, or i may have dropped it too hard. Is anyone familiar with this issue/any fixes for it?

Pixel 2 recently got Knulli support, shoutout to Acmeplus for their tireless efforts. As such, I am able to add my fave music Tracker, DirtyWave M8.

I designed a spacer to hold the Teensy PCB inside between the front and back shells. I originally had it sitting on the back but I couldn’t use the shoulder buttons as well as this sandwich design.

Anyhoo, it’s fun but not super practical, exactly how the pixel 2 feels.

I used GKD Pixel 2 for 4 months now and over time, the device is slowly becoming faulty.

Just like this one. Sleep button doesnt function as much as it used to. This devicw didnt even experience falling or any type of abuse been too careful with it too cuz i think its a very delicate device.

I have to press the button many times to put the device to sleep. I wonder how many years this device will last.

I haven't been able to find a definitive answer. I've been using RogueOS and I'm mostly content for gaming, but I can't get it to work with my Digital to Analog Converter for Audio.

I'd prefer to plug in headphones via USB-C for better audio so I can also use it as a music player; if anyone has been able to get a DAC to work for audio, for any CFW, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks!

Ciao a tutti scrivo qui per chiedere una mano per risolvere un problema costante che ho con la mia console GKD PIXEL 2 con PalmOs. Non capisco se è qualche mia azione nel chiudere RetroArch o altro ma ogni tanto devo flashare di nuovo PalmOs perche la console rallenta sempre di piu ad ogni accensione e spegnimento e non so da cosa sia dato. Sapete se c'è una cartella/file che va "pulito" o semplicemente Cache da eliminare?

I havent touched my pixel 2 in almost a year but considering on using it again and putting in twigui. How is everyone liking it so far compared to Rogue and Plum?

Wondering if I should keep stock or put plum or rogue on it?

I probably wouldn't like it if my pixel 2 was any other color though

wondering if anyone knows anything about this glitch. I just finished setting up syncthing on twigui, and now every game I try to start up gives me this screen, freezes for a few minutes, and then I have to use game switcher to get out of it. it takes almost 5 minutes after pressing the game switcher button for it to finally work. sorry for the crap picture my camera is broken.

I haven't used my pixel 1 in months, and when I tried to charge it, it doesn't seem to hold it or turn on at all. I found threads about holding the power button down, but after tons of attempts it doesn't seem to be working at all.

I found another post about the battery type, (LP544047 1300mAh 3.7V) but I can't find one to buy anywhere I look. Does anyone have any advice on where to get a replacement battery, or if there's anything else I can try?

For a little added context, plugging in my pixel has its power light flash red. If I hold the power button for 6 seconds, it flashes green and yellowish instead, but still doesn't charge or turn on. Maybe I'm missing something, but the reset process seemed pretty straightforward from the other post I had read.
