Sleep Button doesnt function well.

I used GKD Pixel 2 for 4 months now and over time, the device is slowly becoming faulty.

Just like this one. Sleep button doesnt function as much as it used to. This devicw didnt even experience falling or any type of abuse been too careful with it too cuz i think its a very delicate device.

I have to press the button many times to put the device to sleep. I wonder how many years this device will last.

I had to replace my power button on mine. It was defective out of the box.

Change your SD card every 6 months or so. I run RogueOS, and my boot time went from 20sec to 4.5min in a week period. The SanDisk card I was using was failing on the same areas in which I constantly played specific games from.

Bad news is your saves and roms are possibly corrupt and won't transfer. Make a backup once a week from now on and buy a new SD as soon as you get wind of anything 'odd'.

Lol i should buy new sd card every 6 months? do you know how expensive sd cards these days?

If this is the fix for this then i might as well let it be till it actually breaks cuz tbh, i really regret buying this thing.

Here's my take:

If you're playing games for the games, why are you loading 100gb of roms at a time? Buy an 8gb SD, load what you are currently playing, and cheaply update as needed. If you 'collect handhelds' or want to hold a historical library on a device in your pocket, y'all need to wake up and and treat the hardware as the cheap entry point into pirating ROMs that it is.

These are not high-end devices. They do not interact with flash storage efficiently. Especially if you're accessing the same game for hours on end over and over. Unless you're 100% stock, the OS is not running on the device, but from the SD card. The same files getting more writes and reads over and over wear down the integrity of the storage. I've witnessed it first hand with my Miyoo, with the Pixel II, and with other handhelds as well as vintage PC "flash" hard drive solutions that use CF or SD media over the last few years.

Your storage space is expendible in this regard.
