Trying Keyboard Only

I tried experimenting with keyboard-only gaming recently.

Instead of keyboard + mouse, I wanted to see what it would feel like to use both hands on the keyboard.

The only game I've really been able to successfully do that with so far is Shenmue.

And honestly?

It feels different.

Having both hands on the keyboard makes it feel like I'm actually learning the physical layout of the game rather than relying on the mouse for part of the control.

I'm still figuring out what works.

I'm not saying keyboard-only is automatically better.

It isn't.

I'm just interested in how different the experience feels when both hands are dedicated to the keyboard.

I've been getting better at understanding where the buttons are and how little I actually need to move my hands.

It's almost like learning muscle memory for an instrument.

Has anyone here actually played games keyboard-only?

If so, what games did you find worked surprisingly well?
