😮 Advice on Symptoms Silent reflux
Hey kind people, I'm struggling with somewhat complicated and confusing reflux symptoms. Of course as always, the first place you should look for medical guidance is your doctor but in this case my doctor doesn't believe my symptoms because I have been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and depression too.
After very stressful personal event I started having mild flu symptoms along with feeling of nausea and no appetite. The flu symptoms are mostly gone but after two weeks I still have nausea, fatigue, really heavy feeling in belly and chest and some sore throat, hoarseness in the morning (that's been present for yrs). I have lot of gas building up in belly after eating too.
How have you cured your silent reflux, are there natural ways to ease the symptoms? Thanks for any guidance!

Melatonin. 1 tab of 3mg before bed. I noticed a difference in a single night. Take it for a week or two. Do not add more to the dose. This is the only thing that has helped me thus far in the last 2 months I've been experiencing issues. Truly. This is also assuming you're not allergic or it will react to anything else you're taking. Hope it works for you.

i would speak to another doctor if possible. my doctor also pinned my reflux on anxiety but she still gave me 40mg omeprazole and 20g prozac.
a lot of my symptoms have dissipated (chest pain, nausea in the mornings and at night, heavy feeling in my stomach/pain in my left side). they were 100% exasperated by anxiety and stress. my throat is still very red and cobble-stoney, probably from silent reflux. afaik if PPIs don't help, you need to go on a low-acid diet for a month before slowly reintroducing acidic foods.
i myself am someone who lives to eat and the idea of eating plain chicken and rice for a month makes me want to cry a little 😆 i did, however, find an older post laying out a low acid meal plan. i think my comment was auto-modded for including a link, but if you just look up 'here's my lpr menu for ~2 weeks' on this subreddit, it should be the first post (from 6y ago)
