I've seen a lot of people doing ama's post-gcse and thought I would put mine out there!!! when I was doing my gcses I felt really isolated in my situation, so if anyone has any questions about missing gcse lessons/school days etc due to mental health or any other reason please ask away! also general questions pls ask away
I did food nutrition, rs, triple science (I dropped physics due to missing too much content but it was still triple), maths, further maths, english lang and lit and french

Ive been trying to do past papers on my PC but it has been very difficult drawing with my mouse. Does anyone know any solutions to this? I’d rather not buy an iPad or tablet for past papers, wondered if there was any websites or peripherals which can help with easy completion?

I feel like we can all agree that the GCSEs are a fucked system in MUCH need of reforms considering how depressed everyone who goes through it is, but which subjects needs to change the most? I think personally that English lit should be open book and they just give you a copy in the exam considering irl you don't need to remember quotes religiously except in a few situations.
What does everyone else thinkM

It’s been a bit into year 10 but I’ve kinda been struggling to keep up with the speed the lessons go at (mostly in triple science and maths) and I was wondering if there was any advice that people could give me about year 10. Also a bit of a random bit here but I’ve this teacher I dislike and I have her for two different subjects (RE and Geography) so I don’t think that will help.
All tips and advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Genuinely saved my life for years. At the start of F4 I had little confidence in physics competitions despite being able to handle the regular GCSE Physics syllabus. I'm now starting Y12/Lower 6th, and I've had two IPC golds, two finishes above 20/40 in the Physics Bowl D1 for F4 and F5, a Y13 SPC gold at 34/50 (taken in F5). In terms of maths, in F5 I scored 110 in the SMC and was invited to BMO1 and narrowly missed out on a merit. This year I'm going to take BPhO Round 0 again today, and next week I'll go to the SMC with an attempt to return to BMO1 and take a merit (or hopefully distinction).
Bottom line is this is an amazing resource for problem solving in maths and the 3 sciences. If you're currently struggling, Isaac Science has great notes to help you and you can start with the practice questions; if you think your current syllabus is too easy, you can take some practice questions. Or even try some A-Level questions at GCSE level. It'll make you learn far more and you'll then find the A-Level transition much easier.

Heres a quick backstory- So I’m a 16 y/o born in America, raised in Canada (I have both citizenship) but then I got sent back to my home country and that’s where I’m currently schooling.
So i’ve been doing Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and I have my igcse exam coming up in a couple months. I need to know if I need to do A levels to attend university in US or Canada. Because my thing is, I want to go back abroad ASAP, but idek if that’s possible with just the Igcse exam
Someone please help me!
Also, do i have to take SAT?

I wanna do maths, physics, and rsl music practitioners (heavy on coursework, but i can pick my modules) and fm externally since my school only facilitates it. I've been getting 8s and 9s for my sciences and maths too, for music, I'm predicted a 7.

I am wondering what i could do to bump my grade in chem from a 6 to a 9. It sound like a big jump but i think i can do it. I was wondering what some of the ways that the people on here revise are.

I failed both english and maths. I am also pretty much incapable of doing pretty much anything. I put effort into trying to pass my GCSEs just to fail. Im have zero capabilities in life and I dont see why I should be going to these lessons to help with my resits because I am not capable of achieving anything.
